Duelling Sword Has Been Buffed

And in the end the atom wasn’t split and Einstein wasn’t rivaled!

Anyway why did you asked for a high dodge weapon to have a special based on not avoiding attacks using the excellent dodge? That makes sense to you?

And when you asked that, did you had any experience whatsoever with the DSV or was it a knee jerk reaction because DSIV existed?

When you do that, could you dedicate a little bit of space to the fact that community once again shrank the whole DS debate down to DS4, with the two remaining marks being once again a complete bystanders because of this meme-ish fixation, waiting for a one size fits them all fix?

Which assertions in his video aren’t correct?

Because dodge is overtuned aswell, it’s way much forgiving, or more like mobility on some weapons and slide spam. Especially on a tanky class like zealot (haven’t tried it on the reworked new one). Vet with VoC also.

They nerfed CDR and CD feels way less spammy now, wich is right for the action game.

In a good balance state, all defenssive mechanics should have its time and place. Both dodge and parry. You may argue that there should be an ability to build around one of those deffensive layers. But weapons having different layers and mechanics only adds to the game, unlike dodge and poke spam loop.

Well i can see why it’s a valid point “why add another defensive layer on a high mobility weapon”. In the context when a weapon has unconditional high anti armor/rend damage it doesn’t make sense indeed. But yeah, this context is a problem from the start.

The one about the stagger values, for example. This is a global bug (as observed by @ridjess ) that he appears to attribute to the weapon itself. He also covers general melee dmg buffs on classes like Vet and then presents them as a buff to Dsword dmg output. But like I said, it doesn’t really matter, more videos like this pls. Keep the pressure on.

Yeah, now that I remember, in the psykhanium I was astonished that the push on multiple low-stagger weapons (Falchion, DS V) would just send poxwalkers sprawling to the ground when they really shouldn’t.

:nerd: actually it’s a sabre. point still stands that this is ridiculous though

To me Agile is one thing that entirely breaks the weapon. Its very strong without it but I felt like I was cheating using Agile. Never-ending effective dodges is broken.

Why are we heavily ignoring the issue that apparently the stab is now dealing stagger when it didn’t before without the special

That should be fixed first IMO (I assume it’s an oversight of the buffs / bug because it wasn’t mentioned)

Edit; nvm you left another comment taking that into account

I just want to make sure about those stagger values: Which ones are a global bug specifically? The DS being able to stagger small enemies with light attacks, the DS being able to stagger elites with light attacks, or both?

I surely hope it’s both.

By the way, as if that wasn’t enough, the Veteran rework has also significantly buffed the plasma gun.

Guess I finally got my answer on what the difference is between measured nerfing of us/OP weapons vs buffing us/weapons & enemies.
