The fact that dual smgs are competitive with what was previously the defacto best gun in the entire game should say a lot.

Okay, since people arenât really getting the point of this;
Dual Autopistols literally have 0 advantage over IAG specifically on Hive Scum. This is unfortunate, because they are very cool, fun, and thematic weapons.
IAG deals significantly higher DPS both in an ideal and in a non-ideal (ie in gameplay) environment. The difference is stark, and I had noticed that in my own games, prior to seeing this (though if people watch it, Tanner goes fully in-depth on these things; incidentally, I disagree with him about dump stat on the Dual Autopistols being Collateral).
IAG deals better DPS against all targets, and can even kill Crushers better than Dual Autopistols (still not great, but better). It is just as good fired from the hip, reloads in a similar time (perhaps even faster? Not sure on that but it anecdotally felt like that to me), and yet can also reach out and kill enemies at a much further range. IAG also have a far better headshot and crit multiplier - like three times base damage. And when an IAG crits, three bullets actually deal crit damage. No, thatâs not a mistake.
But when the Dual Autopistols crit/headshot, it is only a single bullet that doesnât get anywhere near the same bonus; weâre talking like a 15% increase in base damage. And these are guns that are not even able to be aimed accurately.
The only advantage Dual Autopistols have is that you can fire while sprinting. This is cool, but not really important.
As it says in the video, some kind of change to make them have a niche alongside the IAG is needed. You could nerf the IAG, but it is already sub-par on all other classes. So the options are
-Leave Dual Autopistols as they are, meaning that in all effective scenarios they are worse than IAGs
-Nerf IAGs, which already underperform on all other classes.
-Buff Dual Autopistols so that they have some reason to be used besides flavor.
I do not see how the IAG takes anything but the most basic aiming skill. You donât even have to fight the recoil because it simply moves your point of aim up and then stays pretty steady there; this is the only skill required, to slightly shift aim point. But most of the time, youâll be hip-firing anyway, so itâs moot.
Tanner moment. Stop taking his clickbait titles as gospel PLEASE. Theyâre geared for mobility, which is not only âyou can shoot while sprintingâ but itâs also âyou move fasterâ and âyou lose less accuracy for movingâ both of which are very relevant on the class concept. Using an IAG will often not let you kill stuff in the same situations where dual autos do (both autopistols and dual stubguns).
Itâs a valuable tradeoff and itâs worth losing some raw power on certain targets for. The crit stuff is totally uninteresting btw and only matters because heâs not actually playing with the amount of crit a HS in game would have.

Iâm being a bit silly, but you clearly missed key information in my last comment in your raging hatred of Tanner.
The mobility differences that Dual Autopistols have are literally negligible compared to dealing simply +30% more DPS.
I encourage everyone to go play some games comparing both weapons. You will notice almost no difference in reload, swap speed, or mobility with the IAG, but you will kill every single target faster, on average. No real cons for major, substantive gains - including the ability to now target enemies at range more accurately.
So now that we went from âthere are literally 0 advantagesâ to âok there are mobility advantages that change how you play but it doesnât make up for the disadvantagesâ we finally at least found a semblance of nuance that moved away from how dual autos are supposedly just âworse in literally every way and need a buffâ
I personally find the mobility and handling advantages to be well worth it especially on a class as fragile as hive scum is when it comes to melee enemies. Even if you donât find it worth it, you canât deny itâs a niche that the weapon has, so why does it need to be buffed and take the IAG niche away too?

With IAG, if I want to kill something from afar, I have to aim and correctly adjust the weapon so I can hit without the need to stop firing
With dual autopistols, I just canât do that due to its innate spread, so I donât worry about it and get closer. That alongside the faster firerate just makes dual autopistols be âIâm not limited by skill, but rather by the weaponâ
IAG defenitely has a higher skill ceiling than dual autopistols

anything that shoots bullets is a dream on scum. but not flying around while doing it is ruining the class fantasy for me. I didnât go very far with the heavy braced auto here for that reason. youâre just so slow when shooting.
