Dog-only Duo w/o dodging & sprinting

A friend and I just finished playing an Auric Hi-STG Clandestium Gloriana True Duo game in which we only used the dog to deal damage and additionally did so without ever dodging or sprinting.
To highlight how stupid Arbitrator’s powercreep is that he can ignore so many game mechanics without ever even attacking enemies themselves. And it was pretty easy to do too. How much more must the game be trivialized before we start seeing actual nerfs?

I’m 100% confident this run is possible to do true solo as well but the solo play mod keeps crashing currently :frowning:

Yeah… That looks balanced and fun.
Thanks for the gameplay video! Hopefully it serves as evidence that the class (or atleast the dog) might be a bit too strong lol.
Personally the arbites DLC removed alot of fun and challenge from the game for me.

Core did an Auric solo. Not without dodging though

Kinda stupid that it’s possible.

And he did that without crashing?!
@Core Gimme your Solo Play mod I have a mission to do. Mine keeps crashing the whole time.

No wait I see now that I haven’t updated mine for the update last week, my bad. Also saw that Core’s true solo was when the dog’s bleed talent was busted so I’ll try to surpass that achievement.

Nvm it still keeps crashing on solos

this is dumb. there is no challenge in this game now

Actually a sidenote to the Solo mod, does anyone know how to quickly remove bots? I just leave them, but from what I have seen people can start without them.

Welp. Adding this to The Book, thanks for providing hard evidence on how stupid Arby is.

I’m missing pet damage on the scoreboard.

That aside, correct me if I’m wrong, the build is focused on maximizing pet damage and still took over 45 minutes?!

In my honest opinion, I find this a bit embarrassing for a pet-focused build. Though, I get the impression that some people find it too powerful (based on this topic and others I’ve seen).

Could someone explain to me what the current problem is? From what I can tell, there’s lower DPS and a much longer clear time. I understand the problem when the damage was bugged but that is not the case now.

Edit; saw a good point on another post about not having to micro manage the dog, from that perspective i do agree.

I’m not sure how qualified I am to judge the footage, I would never say I’m among this game’s greatest players and haven’t finished getting the Arbites to 30 yet. Certainly it’s impressive that Gloriana can be cleared by two players doing so little.

That said, this looks like two extremely veteran players doing something janky but taking substantially longer to clear a level as they would normally, Gloriana’s usually a ~30 min run, not 47 minutes. If it’s a janky clear but taking that much longer to finish, is it still super busted?

Dog bomb is probably one of the more busted elements of the tree. Even without the dog’s bugs from last hotfix the explosion is nonsense like most hitmass ignoring things. My dog routinely outdamages players.

Read the post

Jank is understating it, but yes.
And we’re currently planning to do a duo damnation clear with only WASD, jumping, crouching and tagging allowed.

Lol you actually did the full block dog build. Now imagine this with Castigator’s Stance and actually pressing the attack button from time to time. Peak braindead.

Oef, my bad. Did read it but my brain did somehow not make that connection xd

Ok, i still dont see the problem if you take my other points.

To what degree is dog bleed to blame here? I think itd be pretty hard to reliably kill through mass without some form of AoE that isn’t on a 60s cooldown.

Unfortunately I don’t use power DI so I can’t break down the exact numbers. But without a doubt dog bleed & electrocute makes up most of the non-detonation damage. The brittleness is very nice too.

I’m just speculating on the best target for a nerf. As the worlds #1 AoE infinite cleave hater i just assumed this was the biggest part of the problem. Ive always said dog shock splosion was way stronger than people were thinking but it at least has an unmodifiable grenade duration cooldown. There’s gonna be some affording for power fantasy in a class with a robo dog. But he cant be a game nuker by himself.

No everything is fine. Maybe would be fine if the dog can revive and do the objective. And I hope later he can loot the ammo and plasteel.

So is this how we talk on the forums these days if someone does not share your view from the start. Gotcha.

Why do you even bother beeing on the forums if i may ask ?

The sweatlords think you should have to dodge, sprint, or attack to complete an Auric mission.

It’s their way of gatekeeping.
