Does fatShark know that money is being copied?

RIP shirtless

“They’re gaming our system, which is intentionally designed to make everyone feel worse! We can’t have that!”

Somebody over at Fatshark can sniff a wet fart.

guys guys, this is clearly part of the sale that’s advertised on the launcher, it just didn’t make the notes cause… something something complex…

why would you report this ?

I wanna save few screenshots of this thread so I’d see, if people knowingly abusing this bug will be singing different tune about resource issues down the line.

Boot polish is pretty tasty, apparently.

You think inflation is going to hit the Mourningstar?

Not any more than normal. Just people can change their tune when they want to retain status quo of disparity between haves and haves not.

I’m gonna need you to elaborate, because this sounds like some grade-A brainfarting in this context.

Basically he’s saying when people switch sides he’d have proof to prove that they’re not genuine in their stance.

None of this would matter if FS would let people convert their five digit diamantine amounts into plasteel. Their ignorance is staggering.

Or if diamantine was useful, and if we had an actually good crafting system that respects player time (spend diamantine on modifier upgrades, lock removal and blessing unlocks).

If we had this, people would likely be in support of fixing this bug quickly.

I get that, but in this context there are no “haves and have nots”. The threshold for effectively having infinite money is incredibly low in this game. There aren’t any “have nots” outside of the people still leveling characters, and those people have almost zero use for the currencies.

The insanely lopsided RNG-based gear system effectively makes having a ton of currency completely pointless.

We are already aware of this bug, but thank you for the heads up!

You must be mistaken. There is no bug! Everything is, as it should be…

Wispers: They did patch it already, didn’t they? DAMN!!! The one weekend, when I couldn’t play…

I really wanted to ask you what you thought of this bug. It’s essentially an 80-90% cost reduction so your arguments for “just spin the slotmachine more” could actually be tested by everyone.

And just the way I predicted several times:

Which only goes to prove my points that no matter how much you get to spin the slots, it will never feel good.

Spinning slots is not what we want FS, do better!

Precicely what I was asking myself of the super extensive bug report regarding this and the only tought I have was: “damn, that’s a great report, such a shame is has to be this particular bug”

Eh, sooner or later the fathead over at fatshark that insists on this terrible layered lottery progression system is going to have to give in to reason if the company wants the game to have a modicum of long term success. It’s blatantly obvious to everyone that systems with odds this low at best polarize the community and cause many to not engage.

Bugs should be fixed, but when most of the community is in favor of a bug that mitigates pointless RNG grind, that should be a clear indicator that the game has way too much pointless RNG grind.

I didn’t have any issues before this bug was recovered, but I also play since Closed Beta.
Darktide is one of those snowballing games when it comes to resources.
The more you play and the more you unlock in terms of Blessings and gear, the less you spend so the more you accumulate.
This means that once you have everything you want, you start to stockpile so massively, that when you finally do want to try a new build, you’ll be able to instantly get what you want most of the time.

This is partially why the systems in place are a bit non-sensical. They punish new players the hardest and reward those who don’t need anything anymore.

I accidentally scrolled down in my ogryn’s melee weapon inventory today.
The endless graveyard of bricks…

No idea who actually thinks that such a system is fun.

Even if brunt was free and if consecration was free, the system would still suck massive balls, because ~95% of what it produces goes straight in the garbage.
It is mindless repetitition with no rewarding feeling at any point.

The best feeling that i ever got from the current crafting system, was when i finally stopped interacting with it, and started to ignore that it exists.

A good crafting system should be rewarding and fun to interact with (which darktide’s system could easily be, if they simply added a few additional functions to the existing system).
