9:30 on a sunday night and literally all the modifiers are bad and hab dreyko’s spawns are still busted.
save us monday-kun. we need those “quality of life” improvements to be SPICY.
Archivum Sycorax is a cool map, but having it take up a slot for every difficulty and forcing it to not have any modifiers has just made this problem worse
Of course, currently, shock troops isn’t even in rotation, so
They were not spicy. ;(
There is no doubt in my mind that they way they are ensuring its in rotation is by just replacing most of the modifiers with it. Which is clever. At least they let us play it within the first 2 weeks it was out this time! Lmao…

I suspect it’s because the only way they could forcibly include the new map in each tier and have it always pinned there is to fully specify its configuration; i.e. they couldn’t both pin the map and have random modifiers apply to it
Or, put another way, the mission board is terrible
that means they can fully specify a damnation map to be on high int shock troop at all times and they just choose not to…instead they choose ANOTHER super boring normal at all times. they could just rotate a map daily since you know its a…live service game
In fairness they just figured this out for this patch. So we may actually see this change once the event is over. It remains to be seen but it would be good for the regular playerbase. They may, quite literally, not have had the technology to do what we really wanted.
Though I dunno why they didn’t just stick it in active rotation more aggressively than they were.

It lets you spin up a fully configured solo self hosted mission, including 5 hi shock and a bunch of other crazy modifiers and flash missions that aren’t even in the game. (Flash mission apparently = multiple bad conditions but also you get a buff.) So if you really want a challenge, go get em
I desperately needed this mod. Leaving aside brutalizing myself with max challenge missions for giggles, I can now FINALLY test weapons in real game conditions with chokepoints. How fast can I kill a horde of groaners with a Thunder Hammer or a Chain Axe vs the Antax when there’s some walls around instead of in the dead open? I CAN FINALLY KNOW.

It’s been power supply interruption and Elite resiscrap back and forth the whole weekend. I almost even miss sniper gauntlet and hunting grounds at least it lets you play high intensity without destroying your eyes due to low light

They will fix the difficulty problem in any minute now, just you wait, the game is only 9 months old, come on.
It’s not like you could flip a switch to have at least one hi in shock troop, it’s a big brain process you have to do.
Considering they were having issues getting the new maps to consistently appear for a week after they released makes me kinda shudder what kind of spaghetti is behind the mission board. This is what happens when you attempt to have RNG do the job of actual game/software design.
