Did Crank Gun always Crit without Leading Shots or was this recently added?

I never paid it much notice till now when the talent is gone.

But I noticed I’m doing extra damage to armoured targets every so often even when it’s just body shots with the non-gromril shots.

I never had Leading Shots NOT on as I kept it on like 90% of the time so I can’t really confirm. But did the Crank Gun always Crit even without the Leading Shot talents or does it start critting now that they removed it?

Pretty sure it got your base crit chance + trinket if you have crit chance on that. So yeah it’s always had 5-10% crit chance without leading shots.
