Hi Aqshy, we dont need a deep explanation or inmediate results, a simple message saying you read us, you passed the information to the dev team and don’t have more information to share is enough. It took several years to the Creative Assembly team (from Total Warhammer) to understand that a phrase telling us the truth about the actuall situation you can tell to us is much better than months of total silence.
May you read all the feedback and doing a fantastick job, but if you don’t tell to us anything, we just see we are being totally ignored and it makes us think Fatshark doesn’t care. Is even worse if the very important treats remains in the absolute silence and then we see a reply on a minor treat about a minor issue doing the things that this big threats need.
So, again, please, we are not asking you to provide us all the answers, we just don’t want to feel we are totally ignored, a simply " i can’t provide more information right now, but i’m reading all your concerns and sharing it to the dev team, when i have more information to share i will do, thanks for your feedback", is all we ask.
I’ve mentioned elsewhere Hedge and I read every thread, even if we don’t comment on it. This is still true. We’ll be addressing other community issues in a weekly cadence, else us CMs would never be able to eat, sleep, or do other duties we need to attend to (such as writing the patch notes, attending meetings, working on future content campaigns, etc.).
Thanks for your reply. Of course, there is a lot of threats and nobody is asking you answer all of them or even a good amount, we understand and appreciate the job you two do, but what i mean " Community Update #5: Week 2" had more than 300 messages and we didn’t saw any comment like this, just absolute silence.
If there is a big treath, even if you are reading all of us, if we dont have a simply message “hey i’m reading all of you, we care” we fell totally ignored an abandoned.
If you and Hedge can say something like it on the big concerns and threats, would be very appreciate and probably we can prevent a lot of speculation, frustration etc…
Thanks, for the work! Glad at least someone reads all these lone posts/ threads ;D
I really mean it, I already read quite a number from time to time, but not nearly everything, keep it up!
Honestly, while the 70 weapons thing is an easy thing to point out where the game doesn’t line up with previous statements from developers, it doesn’t at all rank among the real issues with the game. People aren’t even using all of the weapons that are in the game.
The biggest problem is that once you hit level 30 there is no system in place that translates number of missions completed to tangible progress toward better equipment or anything else for that matter.
You’re sitting on a pile of money and there is nothing on the shops worth buying.
You’re sitting on a pile of materials and there is nothing in your inventory worth upgrading.
You keep gaining XP that just doesn’t go anywhere.
You’re just not feeling that sense that all the time you put in the game is worth it.
yeah its just that its TOO much to a grind to get a god weapon, I get that some randomness is needed to replayability, but making us unable to swap both perks or redistribute base stat points, even if doing so is very expensive, is increbilty furstrating, the current system isnt satisfying to grind out its just annoying. Also while I know crafting was intended to be there at launch and it not being there now is most likley due to poor management choicse long in the past, it doesnt mean its acceptable, something needs to change at your studio.
Thanks for the reply, I guess that makes a bit more sense now.
Still though, if being branded a liar makes it more difficult for you to do your job then the same must surely follow for the bigger picture? That if Fatshark is branded a liar then that too becomes a difficult situation that would benefit from the same style of management to cool some heads.
It sounds to me more like the higher ups are dictating a global comms policy of ignore all wrongdoing, which is pretty scummy but I can kind of see why - I expect a huge amount of players who didn’t follow the hype are probably ignorant of the miscommunications and doing a global comm acknowledging it might only bring more attention to it.
Either way, it seems pretty frustrating for you unfortunately. Hopefully things are smoothed over before too long.
I think you should go back and tell the designers that we all understand it, it’s just absolutely god awful to play and judging by player haemorrhage and online posting the vast majority feel the same way. The “lottery” is widely regarded as a scam, I don’t think it’s a great system to be happily comparing yourself to and if this is the designers intent it’s worrying.
To what extent though? The crafting system doesn’t give player freedom to correct this and that points to a design direction under which they are working right now. So it is your feeling that by the end of December when the crafting is fully launched, like you promised on launch day, that the design vision will be fully realised?
EDIT: Unrelated reply below for clutter.
I’d agree that it’d be something to worry about normally but you can probably take it at face value because of how horribly the shop went down due to the game’s launch state. I cannot imagine anything other than DLC being considered favourably at this point. Even that will probably still rile some up imho.
Funny enough, if we go by the numbers in this thread:
The chances to get something you’re actually chasing are so astronomically slim that it almost seems impossible to be “unintended”. I know you’re simply giving us company safe lines that make FS as un-faultable as possible, but after Wahlund’s interview regarding the whoe Aquilla debacle it’s painfully clear that something like this is very unlikely to be a coincidence.
It’s just shameful that management is shifting blame to devs and insinuating that they miraculously didn’t realize they were building the mother of all RNG lottery tickets on par with gacha games.
but what happend to the “Contract for specific Weapons” we were promised in an official Statement.
I have 1200-1300hrs in V2 and have nearly every Weapon in Red once or twice.
In Darktide i have 300hrs and 1 i repeat 1 Sword that has a rating of 380 and 1 Curio that has 80 Rating.
Sry but this is a joke i sadly have to say this. Wher again is this System better in any way.
In Vermintide i would have had multiple Reds already. Maybe not all with the Perfect Stats, but maxed out nonetheless…
Also later on we get more and more Weapons which is very cool, but what does that make. It means it will get even worse of course, US GETTING SPECIFIC WEAPONS…
I tend to say we need to take away some Weapons on some Classes.
iMO Psyker doesnt ned all the Autoguns and Lasguns, whatfor. He should be using his Staff. LIke Sienna, right Aqshy ^^
No Crossbows or Bows was needed there. Im not even Main Psyker just saying. THis could at least fox some Classes.
Also nobody needs blue version(fastest firing Autogun) im pretty sure Green and Brown would have sufficed. Its a peashooter and nothign more. Even with very good stats.
ALso make Weeklys with more Rerolls and make it so we get all the Money for one Weekly on every Character separately after we finished it on one Character. This should not be a fulltime Job sry. Im at home busted so i had time.
BF4 had how many weapons? 120+?
And they were modern weapons.
You guys had the entire 40k lore to chose from (with GW’s approval ofc).
Even within the variants you could have been a tad more… extreme
It’s a good selection, but far from enough to really keep me entertained :l
Poor Ogryn def had the wrong end of the stick…
You guys had to design weapons for him that you couldn’t repurpose for anyone else (unlike the rest…)
I was a Hardcore BF Player since the nfirst one.
I had on all except F2P and Heroes Thousands of Hours. So some of them are jsut reskins or the variation is not noticeable.
Well get mrore here, but thats not the problem. The RNG is in the End. Stuber or Rippergun is fantastic. Or if you have an amizing Thumper like i do. High-end GLauncher is pretty neat i have to say. More than i thaught
I love Ogryn and i have no complaints about Ranged Weapons. More Melee and a Melee that can do Armor DMG is needed for him.
The Updates out so im not so much worried now well see
I just want to be able to make the guns/melee weapons I want with no restrictions besides material, which is earned through playing the matches… I don’t know why this concept is so repugnant to the FS Devs who seem to want to have RNG be the ruling factor in their gear acquisition systems. It just makes the game itself feel pointless and completely disconnected from the systems around it.
