Partly because almost none of them are actually working on any content at all. After the botched release, 90% of the team worked on the xbox port. After the release of that port, 90% of the team switched to working on the PS5 port. There’s almost no one actually working on the game or content for it.

Unfortunately, J’s correct. Fatshark pulls this every single time and it’s the same here.

We haven’t seen any big content updates on the scale of VT2 yet because, secretly, Fatshark has been secretly ignoring content in order to work on ports for *two whole years.

It’s a shame, it could have been so good.

season 1 adding monitor support and lobbies. thats extra content? i would of considered that base game stuff myself.

season 2 a mission a difficulty an enemy and a weapon… sounds like cut content to charge twice to me.

Your not paying for the difficulties and a weapon, thats part of the free updates.

Fatshark only actually starts working on a game once the console versions are done. It’s basically paid alpha testing before that. And there’s always an army of simps indulging and rewarding such behaviour. Not to mention the ‘leave poor FS alone!’ defense force.

Fatshark considers Darktide a live service

Wasn’t that just a misinterpretation after a dev got quoted out of context? Can’t remember seeing them mentioning “live service” since the game’s release.

Fun , I love what Focus is doing with SM2! Although they waited 10 Karkin years to release a sequel. That multiplayer was a hidden gem at the time. Cant wait!

yes i get that , but it doesn’t change my point , people are lauding their roadmap. and monitor support and lobbies are being counted as content , sure its the free track , but free or paid is beside the point that’s core game functionality imo. that’s not post launch content that’s what you need to do to call a game complete (the difficulties and the enemies to)

they are charging 50% more than DT for the base game another £25 tax to play at launch and they are charging season pass, personally id expect my monitor to be supported at launch , but apparently that’s unreasonable? i don’t get people

Fatshark have done roadmaps before. They almost never hit their targets, repeatedly. At this point they prefer not to write checks they can’t cash.
