Crashing with proton at character selection screen 100%

Issue Description (Required):

Using proton the game crashes 100% loading the character selection screen. Previous to the latest patch it worked fine.
I have verified the integrity of the game files, am using no overclocks and have reset the user_settings.config
Trying different versions of proton did not help.

Whilst we do not support Proton, there is a small community of Linux players here who may be able to point you in the right direction.

Using “proton hotfix” the game works again.
