Crashing After Selecting Character

Issue Description:
Game crashes immediately after character selection and clicking ‘start game’, but only after the most recent update. Was working fine before. I also tried making a new character and skipping prologue, and it crashed there as well.

I saw a fix on here about unticking the ‘run as administrator’ box in compatability options for the launcher and game, and both are unticked for me so looking for any other fixes.

Please use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option, which is accessible via the Steam client using the instructions below:

1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
2. Select ‘Properties’
3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

I’m having the same issue. I get the same error message in my crash log:

When I verify the game files I get a message stating the following:

Currently reinstalling the game to see if it corrects.
