Crashing on AMD platform

Issue Type (Required):

Crash - During Play

Issue Description (Required):

Hi,
TLDR, i’m crashing during missions pretty often, can happen many times a day.
What I’ve tried so far:

  • forcing dx11
  • deleting appdata folder to remake it
  • adding vram line to config file aswell as steam launch option
  • turning off oc/uv gpu
  • turning off all overlays including steam overlay for it
  • turning off animated avatars
  • turning on FSR1 instead 3.1
  • updating FSR via unofficial FSR3.1 patch
all of that and the problem still persists to happen which makes the game unplayable.
Is there any fix that I can still try to stop it?

Sorry to hear about this. I can’t spot any obvious issues, so my recommendation would be to try reverting to driver version 25.9.1, which is recommended as most stable.

After reverting from 25.12.1 to 25.9.1 as you suggested it still appear to crash during gameplay unfortunately. I suppose I’ve got to live with it.

You might want to try our experimental build. This contains some subtle changes which could help with your crashing!

  1. Open the Steam client
  2. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library
  3. Select ‘Properties’
  4. Select ‘Betas’
  5. Enter the password cTYPtKTsfMDsLHAV
  6. Select ‘Check Code’
  7. Select the ‘None’ dropdown, and experimental - Experimental Builds should now be within the list
  8. Select experimental - Experimental Builds
  9. Close the pop-up window
  10. A download should now start
