Game crashes while browsing through in-game menus (cosmetics, talent tree, armory, hadron’s forge etc.) Sometimes it does so after an extended playtime, sometimes pretty early in my gaming session but sooner or later it crashes in those menus.
Ik there was an uptick in crashes from the latest nvidia drivers but idk if this is related to those because I’m on 576.28 and my game only crashes only when I’m within these menus.

Hey, just FYI it seems your integrated AMD GPU enabled? And you also appear to have HAGS disabled.
In general, try disabling on-board GPU and enable HAGS.
Hey, thanks for the reply. I’ve always had HAGS enabled because I use frame gen religiously. My integrated AMD GPU is indeed enabled though. Disabling the iGPU is not exactly ideal though I could do it if necessary.
After what you said though I checked the launcher log and I was flabbergasted to find that my AdapterId according to the log is… RTX 4060?! I upgraded to RTX 5070 4 days ago! And there’s a bunch of other stuff that doesn’t make sense in the log… like supports frame gen and reflex set to false - excuse me?
Also, the user settings config file correctly detects my rtx 5070 lmao.
Not sure what to do with that information tbh. Would deleting the Fatshark folder from appdata force darktide to recreate it? Maybe I should just reinstall darktide?
Yeah you can delete (or backup or jsut rename folder) the appdata stuff as a troubleshooting step BUT back up you user_settings.config file (back tis up periodically too), it also contains mod settings and it may be a chore to set-up again.
Re-installing is usually not needed, especially with Steam repair or Launcher repair (slower), it’s a last resort usually but YMMV.
IMO people really overvalue leaving the iGPU on, I bet 99.9% of the time the main GPU is doing the work and any iGPU usage is just copy operations from the main discrete one and is just wasting resources.
On another general related note ed:for others, don’t forget Win10 end-of-life soon, IMHO again people hold out for far too long and there are good under-the-hood OS diffs, Win11 23h2 should have been the cut-off point for supported PC holdouts, we’re well past 24H2 now.
Thanks for the suggestion. Just fyi i was talking about the launcher log detecting the rtx 4060. the console log does indeed detect the correct one. Can’t wrap my head around HAGS showing up as disabled though it’s enabled in windows settings.
Also, I’m on windows 11 ver. 24H2. Smth fishy is going on here
Oh right derp, W11 is right there, I wouldn’t worry about it I just skimmed over it real fast to see if anything stood out.
Could just be the console log is confused but worth disabling the iGPU and see.
Our Lady of Perpetual Ass-saving Julia may have more to offer.
P.S. I just remembered, internally when getting Windows version programmatically it shows up as Win10 but the version (build) number is what’s important and that’s correct, I had to check for this in the past on some app.
WinVer snippet:
HAGS should be showing ON though? iGPU interfering?
My log snippet:
— OS
Windows version 10.0 build 26100, 64 bit
Windows 11
Machine ID 24b2254a-2e50-4b70-9070-7c7be60beab9
— Graphics
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (DirectX 12.1, 10053MB) Driver version: 57628 Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduler: true
Graphics card: Microsoft Basic Render Driver (DirectX 12.1, 0MB) Driver version: 10.0.26100.1150 Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduler: true
And my W11 Graphics options confirming HAGS
Welp, I’ll do a test with the iGPU disabled see if smth changes. I’ve already backed up my appdata stuff and will run darktide and check the console afterwards.

with the iGPU disabled it still shows HAGS as false. I’m just gonna play DT for as long as I can and see if I get the crash again maybe this HAGS thing is just an innocuous error. The most my game’s survived without crashing was about 2-3 hours anyway.
