Crash when closing the game since Geheimnisnacht

Hi,
my game crashes every time I close it since patch 4.4.2. Here is a console log like Aqshy suggested :slight_smile:

Seems you’re running into a non-descript Access Violation crash. They can occur for numerous reasons and it’s usually a process of elimination to determine the cause.

Firstly, (if you haven’t already) I recommend trying Verify Integrity of Game Files:

Sorry for the late response. I verified my game files but the game is still crashing when closing down.

Hm okay. I wonder if perhaps a background application is interfering.

Could you try performing a Selective Startup. This can be performed by:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC

Did that, still no change.

Are startup items programs like mouse software or MSI Afterburner? Because they loaded up anyway on reboot.

Hm okay. It’s possible for that software to have been added to your startup programs.

Next train of thought… are you currently using any mods? If so, can you try disabling them and see if the issue persists?

I never used any mods with this installation.

EDIT: The latest update fixed the crash on closing the game.
