Crash on game start, no mods, ?patch 2.0.15

Dear Fatshark

I have been playing Vermintide 2 on Steam, but for the last few days every time I start the game (I am starting in official realm) I get the following crash/error before the game even loads:

I’m not sure that this is linked to patch 2.0.15 as I can’t remember for sure but I think I played the game straight after this patch without problems. I’m new to the game and am not using any mods. I’ve searched the forums and can’t find any recent similar posts- only some mentioning catasophic/bluescreen crashes.

My system:
Windows 10 Pro x64
MSI Z390-A PRO Intel Socket 1151 Motherboard
Intel Core i3-8100 @3.60GHz
8GB PowerColor Radeon RX 580 Red Dragon V2
8GB Ripjaw G.Skill RAM

I’m not great at fixing software, this is my first PC build for a long time, so any advice will be appreciated.
