Could we get a Roadmap?

To ignore all others

Yeah a Roadmap would be nice. Aspecialy to know, when the Story will be implemented.

I Really want to play the Story, but there is non, and it would be nice to see, when the Story will be released.

Over the next few years through expansions featuring new maps.

It is. It is not so strange to not want another roadmap though. I don’t know if you followed FatShark’s prior gamedev history, but I still have a lot of roadmaps from them promising things (including ones that were promised before release for which they got the money) that, to be honest, I don’t think are ever happening.

On the other hand, we kinda already had a ‘roadmap’ - at least the first milestone of it called ‘release’, which is a good indication as to how they have and will handle things.

they had roadmaps before and they weren’t just a little late with things,

a third got scrapped (with complete radio silence) , 2nd third was met unsatisfactory, and the last third were obvious bulletpoints (like new maps cool and all but u don’t need to tell me that more base game content is happening)

dunno about you but whats a roadmap worth if it doesnt show whats coming?

obviously i would like a roadmap that actually represents something and gets somewhere but theres no reason to believe that next time gonna be any different

And I guess useless list of lies is in no way insulting or implying that someone wanting it would be dumb.

Woah man. Way to demonstrate what kind of person you are.

Thing is. I never Played VT2.

So you don’t know the company in the slightest, but argue against the people that have been playing their games for half a decade.

I don’t even know why I bother sometimes.

It doesn’t matter what I tell you, because you simply lack the knowledge about what’s been discussed.

Not to Offend You.
But I often hear about how Terrible or how Great something or someone is.
Just to then hear the Exact opposite of others.
And when I check for myself its usually neither.

You make Great Claims about your Knowledge and Experience with Fatshark.
But I cant really check that.
Your a Random guy Online.

I can however Judge based on my Experience.

So Far Fatshark made the following statements to me.

Preorder Beta on 17th which they delivered.
A Fun Game on 30th November which they absolutely delivered.
13 Missions on Release which they Delivered.
70 Weapons on Release which they Failed slightly with only 65 Weapons.
Crafting System on Release which they delayed to within December still standing out.

So from my Viewpoint their Track Record is pretty Good.
Not Perfect. But also nowhere near as Bad as what you guys Claim.

Now Question Mate.
What Reason Should I have to Trust You over them ?

If their Roadmap runs like what they Delivered so far. They might Underdeliver on some Promised Features and might Delay a few of them.
But for most part will Deliver what was Promised.

This also seems to be what others Say about Vermintide 2.
So it seems Your Opinion there is not shared by Everyone who Played that.

And Frankly.
I consider that far more Realistic than your claims which seem rather exxaggerated and overblown to be honest.

Two things you can be sure of from the Tide games:

  1. Fatshark will land short of announced targets
  2. Some members of the community will tear them apart for any content they release/update

I don’t blame them for keeping their cards close to their chest. I don’t always agree with their design choices, but I still enjoy the core gameplay enough to keep coming back.

Not to start a big herpy derpy circlejerk of whataboutism about “Le Others”, but I honestly don’t see what you are talking about happening ANYWHERE. Maybe in the professional software market? Definitely not Gaming, though.

When it comes to actual transparent Communication, only three companies spring to mind for me:

  1. SEGA with it’s F2P MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 (and New Genesis), where they immediately jump to giving you freebies and profusely making excuses because their weekly server maintenance DARED to take one singular hour more than expected. I guess this form of overcorrective behavior is Japanese culture permeating their company culture.

  2. Number two would be Valve in regards to a number of topics and games of their own catalogue (but far from all of them).

  3. The third would be Activision Blizzard specifically in regards to WoW. They’d often make extended explanations or bring forth their reason for making a decision (which doesn’t mean they’d usually make a decision the playerbase liked by the way - Just they’d explain their reason for it).

Otherwise I have not once seen what you talk about, Cedric. Most companies are sort of handled like Fatshark, where information are handed out on a “when it’s ready to be shared” basis. Don’t see what’s wrong with that.
Most companies have learned from the mistakes of their early careers as well as their “brethren” in Big Gov. Rather than making a statement that can and will be used against them, to proverbially strangulate them on their “promises”, they just go with radio silence (safe option). Eventually later they release a piece of hype media when good news / advertizement time come around.

You mean like that Versus announcement trailer?

That was their learning experience I partially referenced as “early career”. They are probably more quiet on things because of how that turned out.

We have a roadmap right now. It’s called Crafting and it’s going to be implemented across December. Let’s see if the dev’s can follow that one before asking for more.

Early Career? The studio has been going since what 2008?

Edit yeah 2008 people really do be posting stuff…

Has anybody got the roadmap for this?

Um, ok. When does ‘early’ end then?

You could not have written “I have no clue of what I am talkin about” in any clearer way.
Roadmap would be completely useless, they have never respected a deadline/milestone in their entire existence, so I have no clue of why you are giving them the priviledge of doubt.

Unless you are shilling, I mean.

I dont Consider a Single Content Announcement to be a Roadmap.

So Basicly.
Hurr Durr. You No Agree with me. So You either Dumb or part of Conspiracy against Me Hurr Durr.

Yeah. Very Convincing Mate.
You could not have made it clearer to me that You have no Arguments whatsoever for your Claims

Well it’s what you’ve got and all you’re getting.

And Since When Are You a Spokesman of Fatshark who can make such Decisions ?
