Cosmetic petition: Gaunt's Ghosts uniform

Let’s get straight to the point.

Every single time I enter in the Mourningstar I see someone with a Gaunt’s Ghosts character name. For those who don’t know, Gaunt’s Ghost is a series of novels that follow the adventures of a very particular regiment called the First (and Only) of Tanith, writed by Dan Abnett.

I’ve seen countless Rawnes, Braggs, Larkins, Creeds, Caffrans, Harks, Gaunts, Mkolls… There’s a lot of people using Tanith names.

Knowing that Abnett is working with Fatshark for Darktide, which means Fatshark knows how popular are the Ghosts, I don’t understand why we don’t have some Tanith cosmetics yet. It could be a best-selling cosmetic, for sure!

This petition would be for a veteran cosmetic:

  • Head:
    Black beret (same as the ogryn has right now) with the regiment insignia, a golden skull pierced by three golden Tanith knives.

  • Armor/clothes:
    Light combat armor (black). Green/gray camo pattern or full black clothes under the armor.

  • Back:
    Green camo cloak/cape. It covers back and shoulders (picture a camo poncho).

Aditional cosmetics:

  • Straight silver blade (Catachan blade skin).
  • “Shoggy” Dommor augmetic eyes.
  • Varl’s cybernetic arm.
  • Sword of Heironymo Sondar (energy sword skin).
  • Tanith insignia as weapon trinket.
  • New body and face tattoos, as falling stars, spirals and others (in blue).

I understand Darktide timeline differs from Gaunt’s Ghosts adventures, but since this is only a cosmetic for the player enjoyment I think that’s not important at all.

I hope Fatshark is aware of these amazing novels huge fanbase. As I said, I’m pretty sure a lot of people will purchase this cosmetics.

Artist Anna Lakisova has some pretty cool work picturing some of the Ghosts.
The covers of the novels (various artists) are a good visual reference too, obviously.

I would love it as well. Here are the offical Games Workshop models of the Ghosts which I think could fit as a good point of reference:

This would be great
However fatshark are incapable of actually delivering on cosmetics
Instead of actually releasing new stuff they are hell bent sticking to re-releasing one thing and one reskin every month despite how they could easily make bank by delivering on what 40k fans would actually want, fatshark are hellbent on their own awful oc designs.

Basic cosmetics you’d think veteran would have by now or cosmetics that have been in the files for a year now have still yet to be available (don’t get me started with the cosmetics shown in marketing and cutscenes yet to be made available)

Basically fat chance, adding a visor to the existing carapace helmet or releasing things they have ready to go is immeasurably complex for them so good chance actually getting something you want that actually requires them to do something to add it.
