I’ve played on and off for months but in all this time this is one issue that has always plagued my time with this game. It happens randomly and constantly, like I can only do maybe 1 in 5 missions successfully without a crash (though it may crash before the next mission anyways). Makes the game really hard to enjoy when I simply can’t play it.

DDU your GPU drivers and reinstall them, your game isn’t recognizing HAGS. Verify your game files after that.
@FatsharkLev at this point this might actually deserve a pinned thread and some actual dev time, because its kinda absurd how often this issue appears in here, and the unlikelihood of a windows feature that is by default ON not being recognized by the game!
This cant be blamed on corrupted driver update or a vendor, seeing how some of the people are suddenly experiencing this issue with 2 months old drivers on both AMD/NVIDIA. Its not a windows 11 issue either, seeing the influx of people who experience this on windows 10. Also its getting pretty old to see the same issue over and over again and nothing being done about it whatsoever, a pinned thread is the least that can be done and it should be done with haste!

DO enable HAGS as Bob said, you reeeallly should consider upgrading to Win 11 ASAP though, official support ended in Oct '25.
Did you at least enroll for a free year of security updates for WIN 10?
@SomeDude85 has clean reinstalling your GPU drivers using a dedicated driver removal tool helped?
@silentbob515 a few posts have popped up recently and we’re monitoring. Unsure in all cases if a clean driver uninstall has helped or not so still collating information, before declaring all reports under the same banner. Will see how things go for sure!
Hi, sorry to get back a little late but after a bit more testing, i seem to still be getting crashes but unsure if it is due to the same issue. But from where I’m sitting it feels like it didn’t help.
Thanks @SomeDude85, you appear to be running into two different crashes - one is a non-descript Access Violation, whereas the other crash indicates a corrupted bundle file and an issue with your game installation.
A few things you can try here!
Firstly, perform a clean reinstallation of Darktide which involves deleting your AppData (please note custom settings e.g. keybinds, graphics, loadouts etc. will be reset):

Then, please try running the Windows System File Checker, and repair anything if flagged by it:

Next, as you have a Ryzen CPU, I recommend checking your motherboard’s manufacturer website for any available BIOS updates - as outdated BIOS can lead to instability, especially with Ryzen CPU’s and Darktide being a very CPU-intensive game. With firmware updates we advise caution and to do so at your own risk.

I did a clean redownload and so far have not had any crashes. I will keep seeing how things go though.
