Consistently bad FPS, regardless of graphics settings

Issue Description (Required):

Minimum FPS: 10
Maximum FPS: 60 (unstable)
Framerate is unstable and averages in the low 30s most of the time. If I’m lucky Ill be able to play a couple strikes with 30fps, but sometimes the game refuses to give me even that.

Attempted Solutions (Optional):

I have tried various graphics settings levels. I have tried fullscreen, borderless, and windowed. I have tried max settings. I have tried minimum settings. I have tried editing the configuration file to disable raytracing since the raytracing toggles in settings allegedly do nothing. I have tried lowering the resolution. I have tried AMD FSR 1.0 and 2.0, at various levels. I have tried the Intel upscaling. I have made sure my drivers and system are up to date. No matter what I do, FPS is terrible. Attached is an image of task manager during a mission, staring into a corner with no enemies nearby.

I am aware that playing on linux comes with its own challenges and inevitable performance losses due to overhead, but this does not seem to be an issue of not enough power. As shown in the attached image, system temperatures are low and stable, as well as CPU usage. GPU usage spikes and dips very often. The graphs have a scale of last 60 seconds. Other, more “demanding” games have much smoother usage graphs; there are still bumps and changes in usage but nowhere near as dramatic as this. I have also heard similar issues from my friends playing on Windows.

I had some issues with inconsistent frame rates on Darktide, I went into the user_config file and changed rt_light_quality = “high” to rt_light_quality = “off” and rt_shadow_ray_multiplier = 2 to rt_shadow_ray_multiplier = 0
BTW. I was using a Ryzen 5 5600x and Rx 6700XT. It got much better with those two changes. I am assuming you are not trying to run Ray Tracing.
I hope this helps.
