Random fps drops between 5 - 60 fps

Issue Description: my fps are NEVER constant sometimes even drop below 40 and even 10 fps with massive stutter in certain situations…

pc specs:
nvidia rtx 3060
AMD ryzen 7 2700 8core
32 gb ram
installed on an SSD with a lot of space

i have no idea why i would get any lagg in the game… i dont even play the game on max settings … always middle - high nothing on ultra. But changing settings to the lowest didnt give me single extra fps… i never had fps problems in any other game beside darktide… do you have any tips for me ? please help i have to serve the emperor

Steps to Reproduce: set all settings to low set all settings to boost performane… this jsut gave me less fps, dint dive me single fps more. my drivers are up to date and worker threads in launcher are set to 9

Mission Name (If Applicable): every mission but i feel like inside of the new magic shield i have constant fps xD, these fps drops are so random and make me lose my missions… :frowning:

Adding up to that, Some places just cause stutters no matter what, it looks like whenever its loading some meshes.

Maybe not what you want to hear but in addition to the game not being that well optimized, it is also very CPU demanding because of the amount of stuff on your screen at times, the Ryzen 2700 is for this game not strong enough :frowning:

With my previous CPU I had the exact same issues as you and it was a little bit better even (Ryzen 3600)

If you have some money to spend I would advice upgrading to a Ryzen CPU from the 5XXX series. These are the latests CPU’s that would (probably! maybe need bios update! Please check your mobo) fit on your current motherboard.

I upgraded to the 5800x3d and ye the difference is really night and day… However that is also the most expensive cpu that would still fit my am4 motherboard. Don’t shy away from the 2nd hand market as I’ve seen 5600x under 100 euro.
