Hi @DryestSink,

Sorry to hear this! Admittedly this is quite unusual.

Your logs show a GPU crash occurring, though why the drivers are going sideways like this is not clear. It’s a shot in the dark, but I recommend trying a clean reinstallation of both Darktide and your GPU drivers.

Please let me know how this goes.

DDU is good clean reinstall. Just leaving this here for benefit of others to use it.

Before starting all this. Suspend bitlocker otherwise you’ll have to go through entering recovery key.

• Download new drivers beforehand, but not install yet.
• Unplug from internet to prevent windows pulling drivers from Microsoft first. Make sure you unplug network cable as above. Ensure wifi won’t reconnect automatically.
• Reboot into safe mode and use DDU to clean uninstall GPU drivers. If easier you can use msconfig → safe boot default (Remember to change back when you get into safe mode and before you run DDU. So then it will go back to normal mode on next reboot.)
• Boot back to normal mode and install drivers you downloaded
• Then plug back into internet.

Note:

Also reset any settings for undervolt/overclock if you’re using MSI afterburner. Then close in normal mode before installing new drivers. MSI afterburner used to interfere for me.

I did a clean reinstall, so far so good.

I’m still a bit worried I must admit. But I’ll continue to play unless another crash comes again.

in ancient days of the gtx 770 and 1080 i had this issue in moments the gpu was going for higher energy consumption than usual.

ever since i went for far higher specs with my psu, fingers crossed, the issue was gone.

there were some registry entries that could “brute force” the driver to stay on duty, games crashed nontheless.

I have exactly the same problem. Screen goes black after mission and then no signal. Have to remove my Adrenaline driver afterwards and reinstall it. Will try to do a clean reinstall of both.
