its not a new map its throneside probably backwards this time like the other " missions " (you would know this if you could read not just look at pictures )
blessings are apparently acc bound . . . hmm must have been immeasurably complex to pull it off
having the same map backwards is not a new map, half the fixes reverted back to their original bug, there is a whole thread a guy made about what fs promosed vs what was delivered
people point out the things that needs to be fixed that helps everyone
dont make excuses for them its been like this for 7 years
stop being a mobile game alpha tester whale and demand some quality for the AAA price
power affects cleave yes but its additive where cleave blessing is multiplicative
i agree tho you have to know the code but they still struggle with [unlocalised] and spelling
I would love to have unlocked perks and blessings but I donât believe that the locked perks and blessings are going to ever be removed. There isnât enough content being released so their solution was to increase the rng and grind. But lets not forget that before the crafting update, the crafting hub in the hadron showed an option to combine blessings so you could raise their tiers. I was buying many items to combine their blessings that went to waste. In the past 4weeks I made over 30 force swords looking for particular blessings and in over 30force swords Iâve got two tier 4 blessings and they were the same âprecognitionââ. 30 force swords upgrading from blue to orange its about 1100 plasteel. If you only do damnation getting on average 700plasteel thatâs about 47h of grind for nothing, thatâs it if you are sucessfull in all your runs. I canât even get on my psyker anymore since I had a similar experience making voidstrike staffs. The system you have in place its frustating for hardcore players and not friendly for casual players and if you donât manage to attract and increase your player base the game will eventually die.
@FatsharkCatfish Any considerations on making cosmetics recolorable? Or at least have an appearance tab with unlockable skins like with weapons.
I dunno why you guys are forcing everyone to run around in set colors you chose, it means you canât even really mix & match the stuff you earn, because it would just look ridiculous.
Everyone looks the same, always, cosmetics are only a gauge of how long someone has been playing, not any form of personal touch.
Theyâve made the opposite claim.
I find it hard to take the rest of your post seriously.
I think the first one was released on official release day. I doubt that thry are fresh maps though, but rather contentthat wasnât rrady to be pushed out (including the upcoming âcontent dropâ).
I have learned to really temper my excitement when these drop, and man do I regret buying this game.
4 months of continuous feedback about the depressing and objectively bad crafting system, and FS has 0 things to say about it.
When can i select my mission conditions so i dont have to log off and play something else instead?
Great. Running through the same mission through a different route. Calling this âcontent dropâ when itâs barely a dried out drip is just⌠wow.
No word on crafting locks
No word on âa new class every 3 monthsâ
No word on slot machine item system
No word on mission selection
Iâm not defending the Fatshark, but it seems itâs the best they can do. So i measure my expectation based on âbest they can doâ. That way i have my expectations really low and iâm never disappointed.
Examples:
- they will avoid touching critical issues they have no word on.
- there will be no more meaningful polls.
- there will be very slow and small contents drop here and there.
- Missions still be fun to play - itâs the only thing they do right they do good and will not ruin.
P.S. also in my mind i replaced their logo to more fitting one
Iâm with you on that one. My current expectations are that I will maybe start playing the game after summer if they at least fixed crafting. Or maybe Iâll lose all interest and just stop checking the updates.
Still sucks.
Someone needs to have Grendyl, or whoever else is running the ship at Fatshark, sit down and actually READ through all the comments in one of these threads. Every comm-link is the same frustrated community narrative being expressed over and over again. Itâs baffling that there isnât a response to it.
Because they are in a different reality focusing on different things, catfish leaning her head into the room and saying âguys, there are posters on the forums who think the crafting system sucksâ probably just gets answered with a âyeah yeah, Iâve got more important things to worry about right nowâ
âWe have a popular IP plus a playerbase from our last game as well as all these retention tactics, why is the player base dwindling constantly and not buying all the cosmetics?â
They could not had implemented all those bad design decisions that players are collectively dislike by accidentâŚ
Problems and repulsion from players such designs may cause should have been obvious at drawing board stage⌠and yet they are in the game.
Also all this âinitial crafting system was bad and we had to re-work itâ - it should give us (players) nightmares. I mean to get it worse than currently is - takes a very special kind of talent.
I actually think it was the opposite. What was initially planned was probably a âbetter systemâ and likely more deterministic in nature (like the Athanor system form VT2, which was a successful proof of concept). But after building it they realized it didnât provide an âinfinite grindâ potential (which no one ever asked for in the first place!) and so they removed it and replaced it with what we have now.
Either that or they ran into some major technical challenge with their initial weapon mod system that they simply couldnât work around without rebuilding major parts of the system.
âCollecting and combining blessingsâ - with such extracted blessings as limited items most likely. That should have been extra layer of grind. Itâs the reason i suspect that initial system was worse than current one.
The âcollecting & combiningâ blessings was part of the â2.0 crafting systemâ plan as discussed during the beta and right before release (e.g. what was promised initially by the end of December).
Before all of that, the â1.0 crafting planâ discussed much earlier on in the dev diaries talked about a totally different crafting system (weapon modding based). Eventually, their communications, well before the betas, said they ended up having to scrap this 1.0 system entirely. This change is what led to lovely comments like âThis isnât CoD!â
What we finally got in February was version â2.1â of the crafting system. Blessings went into a permanent pool (no option to combine them) but instead we got locks on the blessings. Although the locks may have been part of the plan all along since they were already in place on the perks.
EDIT: But I do agree with you that the original 2.0 plan wouldâve probably been even worse than what we have now.
Thanks for clarification. My memories are in shambles most of the time
Add severe lack of communications to the mix. We do get blessed by CMs news posts, and maybe question or two answered during the dev streamsâŚ
Probably there is a bottles with a message âHelp us!â in the grass around their office, and empty pizza boxes with âSend help!â written with sauce in the inside of the boxes in trash cans next to studio building.
Thanks for appreciating the clarification!
I didnât want to sound like I was arguing with you about this - was just trying to be informative based on what I recall.
Cheers!
