This game’s fundamental business model is selling outfits for pixel-dolls for player’s virtual trips to Warhammerland.
Fatshark’s offering on those counts for the holiday season are both boring and puzzling. Certainly nothing that makes my wallet feel any tingle.
Once 2,400 packs contained weapons and trinkets, now 2,400 packs only have one set of clothes, Fat Shark has become more and more greedy, but at the same time it has become lazier, many cosmetics are just color change versions.
Nah, this is false. The 2400 packs that lost the trinkets/weapon skins had their price dropped to 2100. It’s up to people to decide if missing those two things is worth the price difference, just like it’s up to everyone to decide if $5 e-pants are worth it.
Have you checked out the latest 2400 packs? There is no doubt that there are only clothes and nothing else.
You’re right! These new ones are 2400 and don’t have weapons/trinkets/backpacks. I was speaking about the repeat sets we got with extras stripped (which had their prices reduced). Apologies for the confusion.
As for the new 2400 packs: the question of value still remains the same. It’s one of those nasty bugbears of an issue…which came first: the outrageous e-pants prices or the willingness to pay the outrageous e-pants prices.
Too rich for my blood (at 2100 or 2400), but I thank my wealthy kindred for supporting the game!

I like the focus on uniqe weapon-skins, thats what u see 99% of the time.
kinda wish they wouldn’t cheaped out and gave both zel and vet the same weaponskin.
And the little-saw became kinda mid after patch so not as fun to rip and tear with so probably won’t buy because hardly use it anymore
There’s been two skins for the staves: One where it’s top is in the shape of a metal eye and the previous red one with a skull.

No cosmetics will be bought by me… the prices are too high and the cosmetics system is not worth to invest real money except if the set is really something you think really beautiful.
What I see here is not worth that I spend money to get them… especially a recolor and bad model skin of weapons.

Fatshark are really dead set on not making money from their fomo cash shop which is supposed to generate money.
Maybe if the ogryn pack included that pose.
I don’t get why there are so many categories of cosmetics yet some like poses, banners, etc. have a complete dearth of options.
Darktide has a lot of things where they went oh this is cool. Add it and go oh we can’t be bothered actually properly fleshing it out.

I’m saying these things ^ (which I assume you were referring to) are low priority but will hopefully be fleshed out later.
It’s just odd that recolours and slight accessories tweaks out-prioritise entire categories of their cosmetics.
700 Aquilas ($3.5) for a recolor of a free cosmetic model with swapped out generic boots… jesus man.
Well only one of those things has proven to be profitable!
Zealot gets absolutely hammered in pants selection. They had to not give him white options like the rest got with their ‘commissary update’ ones because they gate locked white Zealot clothes behind money…
Also the new Psyker rebreather has the Mad Max filter but the old one doesn’t. Come on Big Fish
