Cliffhanger Penance Is Indescribably Annoying

Can we get this changed so it’s not so obnoxious to get? And this is meant to be an entry level psyker penance? Come on.

For example, let’s make it shove 50-100 enemies off the cliff instead of the, as title, indescribably annoying process of having to line up ten different things just right, and then failing anyway because it was 6 in two seconds instead of 7, or your venting shriek wasn’t juiced up with enough peril, or your teammates decided to “help” by clearing the horde that you’re surrounded by, or some other damned thing.

I’ve now run half a dozen missions, i.e. wasted my time running half a dozen missions, setting up near perfect circumstances to trigger this, as per the guide videos, and still no luck. The worst part is after a failed attempt at it, you literally wasted all your time clearing up to the shove point, and you’re back at zero right after. On the other hand that you make no progress if you don’t get it in one attempt makes it easy to give up and play something else instead of wasting even more precious free time on this foolery.

you should have tried getting it when it was 15

Have you tried the blocking with the force sword as this also counts, when you push the horde off the bridges.

IDK - penances are penances. I kinda think making them all trivial defeats the point?
Also: deciding which you think are entry level or not I’d argue doesn’t really hold up if you’re struggling.

I will offer to help funnel enemies though if you need a +1 to line them up on a bridge? If you’d like ofc. Not here to berate.

Talk to your team. The first time I tried this, I told them that I was gonna do it and they were cool and let me. Got it first try.

There is quite a few maps where you can pull it off. I think I finished it in the most unexpected place, on the Chasm Logistratum, on a train before the really high final drop down. I despised a lot of those penances, as they distract you from enjoying the actual game. I just finished off like 99% of them by just playing the game.

You can also do it with smite. Easy peasy.

7 enemies is.. actually really easy

keep levelling up, the hordes will become a lot bigger than in the early difficulties.

there are several places you can do it, you’ll find ledges here and there but here’s a few notable ones:
-Chasm logistratum has a bridge to the left of the first room that’s really really narrow, its extremely easy to do it here.
-Chasm station HL-16-11 has a good ledge near the end of the first bridge, you can throw off enemies here and get it.
-Clandestium gloriana’s whole first room is a massive ledge where you can even throw enemies down with some of the maps barrels in addition of your powers or even melee weapon, again, its only 7 enemies, push once and you’ll have it.
-Refinery Delta-17 has spawn points around the last room where some enemies come from, if you’re at a slight angle, you’ll push them off and get the penance.
-Silo cluster 18-66/a has a ledge in the.. ‘‘first room’’, just before the first medicae station, especially to the left and right are ledges (enemies will often spawn inside of the left’s side structure) you can use your ability if a horde comes out and bam, ez penance.

All of this becomes easier and eaaaaaasier the higher the difficulty.

The push was a lot stronger then too.

it was so fun. i miss old force push

Something to bear in mind if you’re using the push on a force sword is that you can’t push if you’re out of stamina.

Smite trivialises this, wish I’d known about it when I did the penance.
