listen guys, we all know that you just chose 7 because it was the most you personally could get but that doesn’t mean that its a good number. instead of making it the highest number you can get, make it one that seems plausable and that somebody could get at least once a week. plus, the psykers shriek vent thing has a horrible knockback on any difficulty.
You don’t need to use shriek. This penance is easy with a little planning.
You do not need to use shriek. It does not say anywhere, that you do.
Any means of pushing an enemy off the map, counts.
7 is incredibly easy to achieve.
It used to be something like 16 and even that was doable (althought that actually was difficult).
If you do not manage to get 7 within a few attempts, try a different approach.
Easiest way is probably to play magistrati oubliette.
A horde usually spawns when the group is right around the location that i marked.
There is a relatively narrow curve at the marked location, which makes it very easy to knock the enemies into the abyss.
You can be right before, behind or in the middle of the bend.
A few pushes + shriek should very easily knock plenty of enemies off within 2 seconds.
I’ll add that it’s fairly easy to do this Penance with a Force Sword (for its “force push”) and even more so with a premade team.
Just make sure you have stamina or you won’t push them very far.
Couple things:
- You can use anything that deals knockback, I think even barrels count.
- The knockback power of venting shriek scales to how high your peril is when you use it.
I got this very easily before they nerfed it by using trauma staff at 100% peril and then venting afterwards to double the knockback and cancel the overload.
If you try this approach, you might want to use a trauma staff with a terrible dmg stat in order to avoid killing too many enemies with the staff.
Not even that. It only checks if an enemy dies while it’s airborne.
I got it by spamming Trauma Staff on a dropdown when low-health Hunting Grounds hounds were coming from it.
I thought they actually had to die from falling out of the map.
If the enemies only have to die mid air, even better.
I only knew that the penance could be cheesed by simply applying soulblaze to a bunch of enemies and having an ogryn yeet them off a cliff, using bullrush (without bleeds). That is how i cheesed it for a buddy, who still needed it (back when it required 16 or so kills).
I guess the “kill via fall dmg“ is given to the last player to stagger or damage the enemy (in this case the psyker who put the enemy on fire), before it falls to death.
