Cleaver VS Cara VS Toxic Armor = pain

any OGRYN Boyz Here actually make it work?

Or they just keep walking toward u like nothing

I’m pretty sure Rotten Armor makes no difference regarding melee itself

If anything it just makes them move slower

However you’ll defenitely have to deal with a lot more of them as hordes are replaced with Maulers, ragers and crushers

It is servicable with beat em back and thrust, even goodish if you could keep slaught up perma, which you won’t.

I am afraid you have to forget confident lightspam vs rotten on this (or anything else for that matter) one.

Cleaver into carapace is always going to feel weak. Even if you had crit and thrust the numbers just aren’t going to feel as good as a pmaul. That said, the cleave everything on heavy, with one strength blessing is going to serve you pretty well if you can consistently hit the head. You do crap single target with the weapon no matter what, so you might as well just hit everything at the same time.

Using mk6 for anything is amongst the worst advice you could ever give lel.

Cleaver with taunt makes you pretty immortal and mobile. Unstoppable force blessing plus the team helping with rending and your rending talent with bleed talent can make stuff work. This would mean swapping slaughterer or confident strike out, but honestly your base damage isn’t going to be able to maintain slaughterer in rotten armor/stims like it can in other modifiers. Tenderiser probably does better than slaughterer in those situations.

M6 cleaver has a special push into heavy attack that does extra damage over the normal heavy attacks, but you’ll probably just be spamming the heavy sweeps to knock as much around as possible. The other two have strikedowns which are nice against bosses but bosses aren’t your job most of the time anyway (especially with cleaver).

No, it can not.

Using mk6 on havoc equals griefing your team. Mk4 will more than double that DPS.

Ok, not more than double but signicantly more while still lacking.

idk what you’re arguing half the time, man. The videos won’t even load for me to see what’s up, but I’m just gonna assume you’re showing off two weapon combos that are completely unrelated to what I was saying. Gonna follow some advice I got some time about you and just ignore.

Well, as Ogryn, the best thing you can really do for Rotten is use higher stagger-lock weapons to keep them at bay for the team. They’ll love you for it to buy some time, at least. For me, I use the shield with brittle talent to push & rumbler spam with brittle & do a back & forth combo kind of thing. I just charge into them using trample for that big damage bonus & keep staggering with shield with block-cancel to spam the H1, you can also just taunt to just be the distraction as well. So, bullrush first & when they get up, hit & push with some rumbler shots in there & you basically rise/repeat the process. Seems to work for me, at least. The bully club, as boring as it is, is great as well. I found I killed them faster with skullcrusher & thunderous too w/trample node. With Ogryn, you cannot do too much with cleavers, sadly, in this specific scenario. You could cheese it & just take ‘lucky bullet spam’ Ogrynheimer build & be in the background, but that’s boring af. As much as I love the cleavers, it’s just kind of pointless with them in all honesty. I mean, you’re literally hitting no break-points at all to combat them. Their health is just mega juiced to the max & tanky as hell. You’re better off with other weapons, unless you like hitting them a million times, which ends up being counterintuitive for your team. All-in-all, I personally wouldn’t.

Spamming rumbler into a rotten pack might not be the smartest move, massive ranged DR and all that.

It’s spreading brittle dots for when your team attacks, so it’s a bit easier & it helps with stagger. Not meant so much for damage, but a debuff tool rather. What’s the matter, can’t message me on your main account like a man? Instead of being a dk head to people on here for literally no reason like usual? You’re literally that same guy that criticizes people’s build videos being condescending, but doesn’t make his own, lmao.

Either that or I’m just lazy to log out from my old Vermintide account on phone. Doesn’t take a genius to figure it out, even you managed to!

It’s pretty obvious if you play Ogryn, why I made the gesture instead of the stupid rhetorical comment, but thanks. :+1: Like I said, obviously damage towards Rotten is void, so you want to have any dots at the very least, because it spreads for your team. Any advantage is better than nothing at all.

You are still wasting resources for a result that could have been achieved by pushing 4 times instead.

Ammo is extremely important for my pugs, their life usually depends on it, literally.

I never said use them religiously. That’s why I mentioned going back & forth, braniac. Pushing obviously saves you ammo, but if there’s an entire army, pushing only gets you so far, as there’s obviously a limit cap. Brittle is important to stack for others damage stacking dots. That’s why the purge going crazy when I do it. Maybe you need to stop being passive-aggressive when you read people’s ideas, instead of judging people with no context. It’s not a smart way to communicate. You do this to a lot of people on here. I’m finding. Who wants to talk to somebody like this? Not me…
