If I had to pick my least favorite character, it would be the elf. Though I love some of her quotes, she sounds so much like an old man complaining about how the world was like in the old days.

Gameplay wise, I like just about any career. They’re all fun in their own way. But whether or not I actually like a class, depends mostly on the personality / lore of it.
Now, all the characters are actually pretty well written, and voiced amazingly, making them all interesting in their own way. Sure, in real life Saltzpyre would be an absolute problem to be around, and you’d be tired of Kerillian after 10 minutes, and so on, but as characters in this game they all work. That’s not where my problems really are with some classes though.
My problem is with Shade, for example. I can deal with snobbish Kerillian, but I hate to see her go all sadist-murderer. So I won’t like to play that class.
I also dislike Unchained; Sure, Sienna as a struggeling addict works, but as full on psycho pyromaniac I dislike her.
Same goes for Huntsman, in a way. Kruber should be (or rather: I’d like him to be) a strong soldier, who is troubled but keeps on keeping on, while him as a drunk hobo is just something I dislike.
In Saltz’s case: I just can’t picture him as anything other than a Witch Hunter. It’s who he is. So I automatically dislike his other classes.
And in Bardin’s case, I dislike Slayer kinda because him being a boisterous cheerful guy is more awesome to me than some disgraced deathseeker. And even though I think his personality fits perfectly as Ranger (as in, lorewise), I dislike playing that class because being a squishy ranged fighter that goes invisible (gameplay wise) just doesn’t become him. So I gravitate towards Ironbreaker, which suits his personality both lorewise and gameplaywise a lot in my opinion.
Not to say that Kruber Huntsman, or Unchained Sienna, or Bounty Hunter Saltz, and so on, can’t be compelling characters (that can fit their personalities) that are also fun to play in the game, but it’s just that those are characters I’d dislike our beloved heroes to become.

Many years as a healer/support in other games so I like characters with the most team support like WS or RV. The ones I typically play the least are the pure DPS like slayer or zealot.
They all fun in th’ey own way though.

Cant withstand RV. So boring
Can’t stand elf’s haughtiness. Dislike the majority of players who use her so far. Do like dual daggers but hearing that obnoxious “lumberfewts” on repeat for 30 minutes isn’t worth it.

kruber - foot knight, fun because running through mutliple enemies is just fun and stunning bosses to their knees just feels satisfying
kerillian - shade because invis plus insta killing heavy armor or specials is even more satisfying than blasting arrows as waystalker honestly, although on veteran that is hella fun just slapping arrows all over the place. waystalker on higher difficulties isn’t as much fun.
victor - WH - for his high chance talents and bonus and constantly getting crits with rapier is fun melting hordes
BH, blasting mega high damage against monsters is so satisfying, plus having bonues
zealot for its infinite THP if waves are on him, although axe sword feels a little clunky now than before some previous patches. Still a great a weapon.
Bardin - not a fan of ranger veteran, prooperly my least played character
Armor bardin - extremely fun to play with as long as players stick near you when you have horde attack perk ult on. just fun holding block while everyone else does the work and you just sit there watching things die as you take a break.
slayer- fun cause you can keep his ult up a little quicker now than before and really fun just running around smashing and cutting things down really quickly.
sienna - BW - flame walk firewall, ya’ll know its nice blockade
not a fan of second class, but its nice for heat seeking ability like waystalker
unchained is fun but your constantly borderline playing with death to keep the high damage on

About 90% Bardin, the 10% goes to the other guys and gals.
i dont play anyone except mercenary. he was the first hero i learned how to play and is the only hero i can clutch with. all the others seem awful compared to him.
I’m prejudice against anything that doesn’t have pointy ears or is a vampire. So my options are limited.
Lately I’ve been finishing off my 100 clears with all chars. I had a lot of fun on BH, really like his rework. Huntsmen suprised me as well. He’s a less cool longbow WS on easy mode.
I play pretty much everyone except Kerilian. Never been one for speed based charecters in games and pretty much almost every weapon she has is speed based except MAYBE glaive…longbow…2h sword is pushing it. I’ve always preferred slow and tanky. As for less rational reasons I’m Racist. But not against anything that actually exists. I genuinely dont like Elves in almost every lore Kerilian especially. Her constant mayflies and lumberfoots grate me. I find Bardin’s dwarvish endearing and kind of nice but…the elf is just…grating to be around for the length of a whole map. She is the ONLY reason I dont have 30 on all my charecters. Only reason she is the level she is right now is because I adore spears. Soon her very last saving grace will be out the window as it is passed on to trusty reliable Kruber. I honestly feel like if she were ninja patched out of the game I wouldent notice for like a week or more, then be delighted.

I almost never play Ironbreaker. I don’t hate him, I just… I dunno, I guess he feels a little too “EZ Mode” for me. I also have played with some really annoying IBs who were just out of control with either the drake gun or pistols. So now I don’t want to be “that guy” XD
Aside from that I really enjoy playing all the careers. Especially after the talent overhaul, things aren’t perfect now but they’re much better and I like that switching careers can make the game feel fresh.
