It’s a human face, we’re playing humans, yes, it belongs in Darktide.
To put it into context:
Do I want just this face added? Also yes, but only to counter the army of clones somewhat. I would be happier with a less conventional handsome face.
Do I want this face added in a lot of ten with 4 other conventional beautiful faces? No.
Do I want this face added in a lot of ten with 8 other faces that are not conventional handsome? Yes.
As I said, I’m not opposed towards good looking faces in general, just in large proportions.
Interesting. As I said in another thread about not beautiful female faces, I found it harder to pick a male face that I like at all but have like 4 I like of the female choices. Also interesting that my choice is so far down in the vote results
Eh, I picked what I would have if I was making the choice in a vacuum. Usually, I pick faces based on a character concept though.
So, I might decide I want a crazy, old Zealot and then design off of that. Or some kind of Asian mystic Psyker or w/e. The voices kind of ‘limit’ choices like that more than the face options unless you don’t care about the voice being disjointed from whatever the concept is.
Right, and beards & mustaches change how male faces look a lot.
It was very rare to see a clean shaven male character. A lot of people liked beards. I was one of them
For that reason VA should be picked at first stage, not at last in the creator.
Two male Veteran voices sound 20-30ish (Professional, Cutthroat), doesn’t fit to 1/3 of faces that look much older. The other one (Loose Cannon) sounds a bit older, but not by much.
looking at poll, most people vote for good looking chad ogryns. 4th one for example - looks prettier than most human males
Hell, in general ogryn faces look more pleasant and attractive to me than humans (male or female). It maybe because most humans have ptsd look, while ogryns are more happy, strong looking, less gaunt. And the human faces, some of them look disproportionate towards ugly and nothing else. While ogryns less perfect faces - they have a goofy vibe.
