Sure you did. Here’s the quote, weirdo.
saying I dont want to gamble isn’t the same thing as saying i want full control and get everything on a silver platter and accept nothing else. you could’ve just asked about this and i would’ve cleared it up for you, but instead you had some utterly arrogant passive aggressive meltdown
You had multiple chances to clarify and instead chose sarcasm and personal insults. I responded in kind ableit just sharper. If your position is more nuanced, you’re welcome to explain it without framing disagreement as dishonesty or mental instability. Would you care to illustrate your position?
I clarified and told you that you got me wrong, you just insisted “NO YOU ACTUALLY DID MEAN THAT” over and over. dont blame me that you can’t think straight during your tantrum
You still haven’t explained what your actual stance is. You’ve only said what it isn’t. So again: what level of randomness, if any, do you think is appropriate? If you’re going to accuse others of misrepresenting you, be willing to represent yourself first.
i dont plan to, talk to the hand. good to get you to admit you were just putting words in my mouth though
If we cut launch day out so it’s not wildly skewing the scale, we see that it’s much more pronounced. It doesn’t reach the same peak as Patch 13, but Patch 13 was also a much larger and more comprehensive update.
We can see that while Patch 13 reached a higher peak, we’re seeing more people stick around longer 6 months after crafting than we did with the Class rework.
I would not expect a 3rd platform launch, two and a half years after initial release, to be buoying PC-player numbers substantially after many months.
Looking at the stark change in reviews right after crafting got updated, I’d say they make it fairly clear. Crafting was a singular and constant complaint across most reviews that tanked the title’s overall rating. Now it’s net positive and the complaints and negative reviews that do pop up no longer coalesce around a single shared issue in the same way and that turnaround dates right to the crafting change.
You threw out insults, mocked the old system, implied randomness was pointless THEN backpedaled and claimed victimhood when challenged. You still haven’t explained your actual stance, just insisted I was wrong while refusing to clarify what you meant. I’ve never seen someone flail so hard.
If you’re done, be done. But don’t pretend you were misunderstood when you never bothered to be understood in the first place.
are you talking with ai or something? none of this garbage makes any sense
like what is this garbage? you’re putting words in ym mouth and strawmanning and then it’s my fault for “not wanting to be understood”?
if this isn’t ai and you’re actually typing completely nonsensical dogshiet like this let me tell you that respect is mutual and i have absolutely none for you because you did not even have the minimum amount of respect required to ask “what would you have preferred then” and immediately began to mock my position (or rather, the position that you perceived) for no reason
I would, player presence is a factor in player retention. More players = more games = more engagement = more retention.
You make a fair point. I wonder though, if the reviews flipped and crafting was the magic fix, where’s the player surge? Why is long-term retention still flat? (within 2,000 players). Also worth noting, April/march 2024 wasn’t trailing a big series of releases, either - Locked and Loaded, Grim Protocols, Ogryn Rework, and Mortis Trials.
So, excuse me, I had to go back and check just to make sure that my inferences were justified. Where did I say that you wanted this? You’ve been acting as though I was referencing you personally, when I never did. So, who’s putting words in whose mouth?
Ah, so that exit didn’t stick after all. I can see you’re having a moment. Probably best to step back until you can express a position clearly enough to be taken seriously. I’d be open to a real discussion … when you’re ready (but I doubt that’s going to happen.)
Cheers.
Phage has admitted to using AI, yes.
I’ve asked you politely and welcomed you to explain yourself so that I could correct this error you insist I make. Instead, you refuse and get mad at me for continuing to make this error without exercising your ability and responsibility to correct it.
I think it’s clear you’re avoiding clarification not because you’re being misrepresented, you’re avoiding clarification because you can’t defend the position that I hit on the mark. The only way out at this point is to eat crow and illustrate your position. Which, you won’t do.
If my tone came off as mocking of you and hurt your feelings, that wasn’t my intention. This entire time I’ve matched your tone. I’m sorry that your feelings were hurt in this interaction. I ask you thrice, will you express your stance so you can stop being mad about me making assumptions about a fact you refuse to articulate?
It’s true. I write what I want in the GPT as a rough draft then tell the LLM to reorganize my thoughts; edit and revise. I can understand why people scapegoat AI as being the easier option to deflect from any topics brought up in conversation that one cannot speak to.
dead internet theory is real man
It’s grammatically correct and made perfect sense to me when I read it. It’s just not at an 8th grade reading level so some people, especially those who are not native English speakers, will have trouble with.
So is Graham’s Hierarchy of Disagreement.
Except it’s not a conspiracy theory. Heck, it’s not even a theory. It’s just fact.
As much as I hate what AI is doing to the world, it sure is handy for stuff like this.
I want to post the following to a game forum that has a multi-national audience. the language is primarily English but there are plenty of users who are not native speakers and use tools to translate into their native language. Can you please review the following and help make it easier for all audiences to understand?
Mark was feeling under the weather, but he decided to bite the bullet and go to work. His boss gave him the cold shoulder, which really rubbed him the wrong way. Later, Mark tried to break the ice at lunch, but things were still awkward. At the end of the day, he threw in the towel and went home early.
Will return something like:
Mark wasn’t feeling well, but he decided to go to work anyway. His boss ignored him, which made Mark feel upset. Later, Mark tried to start a friendly conversation during lunch, but things still felt uncomfortable. By the end of the day, he gave up and went home early.
oh boy, last night i ground my teeth against random only havoc, cortison keeping me on edge n all.
what a total and utter shtshow havoc “40” dudes folding like wet paper bags in 28-33 while i play frontfeuerwehr, cherry on top the all skipping stealth zealot (4 bosses end platform comms plex and he stood in the shuttle waiting for the rest to skip while the stairs were crawling…ironically was one of the few wins but felt cheap and undeserved )
now i made it my hate mission to break to havoc 40 WITH randos and without voice for the spite of it, even if it kills me
will upload some clutch attempts this weekend, my oggy last one standing(testament to build viability)
but oggy cant hide or stealth so rooms full of tin cans is attricion you cant win.
oh… btw vigil station elevator upper exit… uhum… good luck with 8 crushers 2 captains and gunners w4nking in from the bridge… 5 tries 5x gangrpe… much havoc such fun
Yeah vigil station upper elevator just before the end of the mission everytime ive played that map we never ever make it to the elevator leading you to the end event. Every single time we play that map we wipe. Good luck killing twins with a bulwark patrol a captain and a chaos spawn with elites and specials pouring in from all angles with a pesky sniper noone can deal with downing your team.
