Can't switch to brain burst with duelling sword

Issue Description:
Cannot switch to brain burst from duelling sword until attack animation is completely finished. Not sure if this is intentional but it feels quite awful.

in the linked video I am spamming the grenade key as soon as I press attack and as you can see I cannot switch to brain burst until the attack animation is completely finished, however I don’t have this problem with a different sword which leads me to believe that this is a bug

  1. attack once with duelling sword
  2. try to cancel the attack by switching to brain burst
  3. cannot switch to brain burst until the attack animation is finished

I noticed the same thing. More precisely, when light attacking you cant animation cancel with brainburst at all. Blocking works, switching to secondary weapon works. Even heavy attack works. Brainburst however does not.

yeah it was driving me crazy in the middle of a match, I thought my keyboard wasn’t working. It wasnt until I went into the practice area that I figured out what was going on

Same thing here. It looks like the same bug we had on Vermintide 2 with Saltz’s rapier (which they fixed eventually).

Same issue with the Void Staff.
After charging and firing off a secondary attack, cannot switch to brain burst until the follow through animation for the attack is complete.

WORKAROUND: can still use Q to quick-swap to other weapon during the animation and then immediately swap to brain burst.

My Beloved says it is not supposed to do this and that I should tell you.
