Can't get into the game; instant crash post-starting screen

Issue Description:
Hey! I just downloaded darktide for the first time today, and I can’t actually play the game. The introduction works fine, but the second I try to click past the screen where everyone’s posing all cool right after it instantly busts. It’s done this every single time like clockwork.

Open the game and go through the opening.

for the record, it doesn’t give me a “backend error”; it just crashes and shuts down.
