Particularly in areas with no cover like the plaza in Horn of Magnus. When you have beastmen there the AI seems to spawn like 20-40 archers there at any given time, and no i’m not joking. They’re literally all shooting at you, spread out of quiet a vast distance (since the plaza is pretty big and they target you from the entire other end of it), not also counting the buffed up patrol that’s usually there and if it’s beastmen there’s going to be a banner which is only further going to complicate matters. If you’re going to kerillian ult you risk aggroing the patrol which means your main option is to try and shoot each and every one individually since trying to get into melee just means you’re still being shot by 10 of them. I don’t mind the fact that there’s lots of archers that spawn when beastmen are around (i actually kind of like it), but there should be some sort of hard cap on certain maps to how many the AI director can spawn at any given time (ie. only 5 at a time can spawn in the plaza of Horn of Magnus, more can run in, but only 5 can spawn there).
Be nice if FatShark can finally get it together and just make their bots know how to shoot down archers already
That said I can’t remember if they appear in HoM or not.
They do, albeit rarely.
Usually its just a mino, a patrol or some ambient armored goats instead.
If only important enemies would be more visible instead of having to manually highlight them one at a time…
Tagging enemies is nice and all that, but man, everyone is a camouflaged Predator at certain distances or among the horde (which for the most part is an unrecognizable mass of black shadows, muddled details and scattered particles).
Any “special” enemy (anything that isn’t regular filler enemies) actively attacking or targeting players should be highlighted somehow without the need to spam the tag button (especially those infinite range, cast-from-behind-cover Blightstormers). We already have to spam the attack button!
