Becouse everything exept twins is a garbage and noone plays it.
Yeah, twins are nice. But there are many other nice game changers. Just exploding players and exploding rats are unfun. If they remove these two I would be completely happy.

I never see anyone playing weeklies other then twins
My personal favorites are no ui and the darkness.
I hope they just tweak them to make them less terrible.
- Make Ranald’s Sparkling Gift not affect bots (they don’t explode, they don’t get hurt from your explosions)
- Make the suicide rats detonate each other with their explosions, and come less frequently
Just those two QOL tweaks would make these modifiers much less frustrating. Sure, they’d still be hard, but that’s the point…

There is a difference between annoyingly hard and fun hard.
Bomb rats and Sparking gift is just boring. Thats why i never see someone plays it.
I’d say that’s subjective. I consider these two great fun and always do at least a couple rounds when the come up on the normal game weekly; explosions + randomness = hilarity, at least as far as my friend group is concerned.
But when they’re part of a weekly expedition where I actually want to get the rewards… then the frustration outweighs the fun. I think it’s even more of an issue for Chaos Wastes because some maps are 90% ledge, which isn’t a thing in regular campaign maps.
I adore Twins, and Vanguard adds even more spice to it. The Legend runs are incredible.
However, I’m a bit torn about this. I’d love to always have Twins as an option (I’d never play regular mode again 
) but that would remove what makes the modifier special.
I agree that seeing the exploding modifiers is an insta “meh” and I play regular runs.
No UI is tiring, especially without a crosshair (play melee class + bots on those), but darkness is also fun.

I like it a lot because of immersion. It is especially satisfying with OE because hitting things with ranged weapons without crosshair is like eating a candy.

The same.
Weekly twins+vanguard+hellowen event is the most fun i have in this game.
Without that you only can add twitch and use deed bug.
But deed system in this game is just so awful
