Can anyone with an amd GPU play the game today?

How would she know? By talking to the devs, that’s how.

yikes… they really want you on 11 for some reason

if i went to church, i would sing this.

given that nvida gpu’s burn the plugs off, no one would ever bother to buy AMD

I have an amd 6800xt gpu and win 11, game launched an played fine for me after the patch yesterday including all my mods running same as ever.

so its a marketing ploy to upgrade to win 11… so they can monitor you more better than win 10.

Did you miss how their head of design was interviewed just before new years and spoke about how good the launch was?

I mean, maybe FS has as low expectations as the player base. If so, this latest patch should maybe be seen as a success.

so you expect that the devs should be able to tell you a timeline for a fix, literally 7 hours after initially discovering it and during work off hours to boot?

have you ever worked with IT?

do you know how hard it can be to figure stuff like this out?

It was more rhetorical as in how a CM would get information but yes, and that’s exactly what Julia ended up doing anyway.

I am literally in IT and if Fatshark had better QC/QA, versioning and change management a lot of this could be avoided with good practice.

uhh no, that is exactly what she did not do, we havent had a timeline at all and my point is that it would have been unfair to expect one just 7 hours after the initial discovery and after work hours

as for your other point about what they could have done to avoid this i agree, but thats not what we are discussing

As I said, it was more a rhetorical line to answer the rhetorical question “How would a CM know these things”. There was no expectation placed on it, just an answer for an answer’s sake.

they had whole week to test it… and then 7 hours

i am not sure if we disagree then

my point is that a CM would not be able to answer this, since she is a CM and not directly involved with the tech stuff

she COULD however talk to the actual tech people…however we cant know if they are available and its not fair to expect her to be able to get a hold of them and get back with an answer so quickly

Yeah, no disagreement at all. I’m satisfied with what Julia has done with what she has to work with.

Edit: I’m referring to her replies and such in the technical issues thread for the crash.

Chill out?? This is one of the most basic PC set-ups that exists right now! This is embarrassing and inexcusable! I am surprised there isn’t more outrage about this. I love Darktide but I think it’s time to admit FatShark have lost the capacity to develop video games. Shut it all down. Shut down Vermintide 2, shut down Darktide, fire employees, start over with a skeleton crew and make a small 2D game for mobile where they can peddle the Tencent cash shops. It doesn’t take a seasoned developer to understand you have to have a couple mainstream PC set-ups around the office to test a new patch on before running it live. FatShark apparently can’t afford a couple thousand dollars on an AMD GPU with both Win 10 and 11 installed, or is too incompetent to care to test for that.
