Camo Expert is not fun for team

And when we talk Premades then that does matter. When we however talk the current state of the game where you can be dropped into ongoing matches with no chance of altering your loadout, you can end up in matches with only close range options.

I also would say that the Veteran, the Class that is given Talents to highlight specials and additional long range damage talents, is the one suited to fit that role a lot better than a Zealot who gets neither the ability to highlight specials and elites beyond tagging, nor any sort of talent to boost their long range damage. Instead their Talents are meant to boost the close range damage. And it would be a bit strange if they shouldn’t lean into that, just because the Veteran doesn’t want to do their job.

Ogryns, you even admit yourself, lack the long range options by default and Psyker, again is likely not going to show up with a gun, but a Stave… most of which are rather short ranged. Brain Burst will do some work here, but once more… the lack of innate ability to highlight Specials and Elites and with that remove the ā€œwhere is Waldoā€ aspect of trying to locate where that Bomber is throwing from still leaves the Veteran the most capable for this role on the team. Meanwhile the Psyker, could and probably should, focus their Brain Burst attention on Crushers and Bulwarks. Having the ability to reliably damage them and open the shield of the Bulwark making it a lot more hassle free for the Team to engage said enemies.

And sure, what you do in your Premade is your business. You can have your gimped close range Veteran with the gimped long range Zealot, and the Veteran highlights the enemies for the team, while doing the Zealots job of fighting in close to mid range… leaving the Zealot to do a worse job at the Veteran’s job…

Or you know… you could just not play Veteran to play in Close and Midrange, if that is what you feel like and play Ogryn, Psyker or Zealot, who are better suited for the task.

Playing T5s With Noob and Shitbag Vets Sucks: The Thread

Seriously, most of the complaining on here boils down to people getting screwed by bad vets not doing their job. Whether they use camo as a crutch or not is irrelevant, might as well also complain about them:

  • Running autopistols too and not being able to clear out snipers, grenadiers and other ranged threats because they refuse to close in to use the damn thing.
  • Running power swords but not being able to dodge to save their lives.
  • Running a full grenadier build but being physiologically incapable of throwing a grenade for the entire run.

Playing with people that misuse their class or can’t keep up sucks, we get it. A good vet feels like the f*cker is running an aimbot and you’ll rarely get a special kill, and a bad one feels like there’s only 3 or even 2 players in a run, no in-between in my experience. If a competent vet has camo you’ll never notice it, and he’ll probably be doing most of the revives even if the team has an ogryn too.

I agree and thay shold have never given vet a bolt gun. becsue having to carry MR. ā€œblow his load in 3 secondsā€ is going to have more work to do.
congrats you killed one crusher, would you like to kill the other 6? oh no you are reloading well thay are with us at the moment and dont seem to want to wait- oh you pulled out your power sword, of coruse you did, well you might kill one of them after like 7 swings, grate, good for you, im glad you feel better having that with you becuse i sure dont.

i do want to stress cammo expert is litterly not a problem, i know someone who uses it and we run demantion exlusivly. its literately fine. lol

Camo is bad because it adds pressure to your teammates instead of having that pressure equally distributed.

Also there is GunPsyker and Autopistol talk in this thread so
