Bruh Moment

No. :muscle:

There wasn’t much to discuss. My “no” was my genuine opinion on the topic of the post.

How many users are we talking about? 2? 3?

Because I really won’t believe that there were more reports for “No :muscle:” post.

And pretending like such sort of system is “alright” won’t benefit anyone.

We can always test it…

If there’s a regulation against simply saying “no” to something that you disagree with, that’s genuinely preposterous. I wasn’t going to waste my time responding to their claim with the novel of reasons on why I disagreed with them.

A simple “no” sufficed enough for me and at least 13 other people before someone got butthurt and flagged it.

i’ve aruged with a person who literally called others here nazis for having a different view, naturally my responses got a bit spicier and my post got removed while his was still up.

i explained that i understand that my post got removed, yet i was befuddled why his were allowed…
i never recieved an answer…
they really don’t seem to care about context at all, or the system is too abuseable by reporting with fake accounts.

i’ve certainly noticed when arguing with particular individuals that anything opposing would get flagged even tho the majority seemed to be in agreeance with me :woman_shrugging:

We’ve got an infestation of Twitter users here now, too? It’s been fun, everyone :sob::sob::sob:

I just flagged this post to see if that one gets taken down too.

(Didn’t really. I’m too well behaved  ).

Honestly no idea, I only know that a user’s trust level factors into it in some way.

IMO it’s a good system for sure, it allows the community to effectively self-moderate if handled correctly which it kind of is here. But I still find the moderation on Fatshark’s end to be lacking, they’re very hands-off in terms of moderation most of the time.

Man, I liked that one. It was in the Audio Cues thread wasn’t it? Guy picking his nose.
Shame.

That would be a good test to see how many people need to report a post before it’s taken down.

This might help.

Well, understand that simply saying “No” to someone’s feedback thread without any additional opinions presented is counterproductive to a discussion. If you dislike someone’s opinion so badly but also can’t be bothered to write even a sentence, then it’s better to simply not engage.
Think about it for a moment, what meaning am I going to derive from a single “No” when the original thread in question presents multiple ideas and actually tries to explain them? It’s just lazy and counterproductive.
It might be silly, but it’s still within reason for it to be removed.

And whether people agree or not is largely irrelevant.

Sometimes refusing to give someone that kind of satisfaction is the best way to win a debate. How many ridiculous proposals have been stopped by a simple “no” compared to the times when someone said nothing?

Why is it a debate? You can simply choose to just not engage with the topic at no cost to yourself or anyone else, if it truly is a bad proposal then you can just rely on the community to either ignore it and let the thread die or disagree in good faith. If the thread goes sour with personal arguments then that would ideally be moderated by either the community or FS themselves (which usually is not the case).

Since there’s no downvote option, a simple objection is the best we can get.

Even if it’s just a “no” post.

The community is not to be relied upon to simply let a thread die. Particularly when there’s a rather verbose idiot posting in the replies. Everyone loves to constantly keep replying instead of ignoring them and moving on.

Slightly hyperbolic, but you get the point.

Lol that’s very true, and an example of why I wish FS was more hands-on with moderation.
