Broken gameplay, result of “updates”

I just need to set the table, I shouldn’t be swearing at the game because of things you’ve previously fixed and like always, with every new “update” you completely break the game mechanics or bots. Like when you left the bots running off of cliffs every time a gunner or fire rat shot FOR A YEAR.
So, when you added the last Xbox shade/thorn update and broke a ton of stuff, people are a little irritated.

To start off, respawn advance, or whatever you call it was good, then you “patched” now during count mordruk Even in CW the respawns are all backwards, and out of the arena where only characters with dash leap or teleport can get them. So if you’re say, running with a warrior priest with bots and you get 6 blight stormers, YOU ARE DEAD.
When you Nerfed sister, you’ve made her thorn spike a huge debuf when it comes to killing assassins and hook rats if she is your bot, she will bounce the assassins and hooks around so much that they are nearly impossible to kill, and they escape through the smoke cloud or bounce out of range stand up and immediately hook a member. I have seen black venom kill exactly 2 specials since this update.
The tanglegrasp thicket she ALWAYS casts directly in front of her and as close as possible and typically right beside a human, this blocks your attacks, makes it difficult to move and very often causes you to take damage from things on the other side, that you can not see if you are partially clipped through. This is functionally bad.
Shade, before update had her weaknesses yes, but since the update the invisibility system is broken for all characters as nearly 1 in 4 enemies can still see you, they just can’t hit you unless targeting another teammate. This makes shimmerstrike useless as enemies will immediately about face making backstabs impossible. It also makes prowl useless as you cannot get any space which was the whole point.
Cloak of pain works quite well and was sorely missed, cloak of mist would have been far better to keep over hungry wind IMO but I find myself forced to use it on my bot because shade bot is completely broken in 2 respects, first when it comes to her behaviour she believes she is a waystalker, she has her bow out at all times, even approaching a horde or in infiltrate, until the last second before she attacks enemies in her direct line of sight, if approached from the side or rear she takes damage because she cannot block with a bow. Secondly, she cannot grasp how to use infiltrate, when she does use it is absurd, as in whenyou are just standing around with zero enemies around or in sight, she will infiltrate and SHOOT a special or storm vermin, she will use infiltrate and run around blocking, ive even witnessed her infiltrate with cloak of pain and actively swing at the 1 chaos warrior for the duration while she ran circles around it NEVER hitting it once. So yeah, 4 seconds of critical would be nice instead of an unusable career skill.
Bounty hunter, grail knight and waystalker still get stuck in their career skill animations if you or another bot kill their desired target before they can shoot, I had a CW mission 2 days ago where waystalker on one map got stuck in her animation 5 times. They cannot defend, they cannot switch weapons, they have to wait until another special enters their target area and you need to hope that your other bots do not kill it first. This has been an issue since grail knight was brought into the game, do you even remember how long ago that was?
When it come to the chaos wastes completing the temple of shadows has about a 1 in 4 chance of crashing the game when you are receiving your 2 veteran reward boons, gee thanks. It also is unable to spawn the mighty monster from the strife shrine, so purchasing that is burning 200 coins on nothing.
About a 1in 10 chance the game crashes when you’re on citadel 1 within line of sight of the portal to exit the map, infuriating.
Pit of reflection and 1 variation of forbidden trail have abysmal coin distribution, sometimes less than 200 coins, or less than 400 with +pilgrims coins, that is essentially leaving at least 2 booms unpurchaseable and renders adjacent shrines useless.
The bots still murder you when it comes to revives, in multiple ways, like being forced to stand directly in the centre of the revive sphere, or when you are hanging on a ledge and they are not on the same plane as you, where they are looking directly at you where they could stick their hand in your pocket and steal your wallet but are completely unable to perform the action for no reason other than not standing on the same level, like say you jumped off a ridge onto the next platform but missed and now hang off the second edge, well, the bots can’t process where you have gone, so they just stand there on the first until you fall and die, THEN they teleport to you.
Why is there no FORCED BECON function for the bots in the battle orders? I literally do not care what they want to do, I want them to come to me when I’m hanging off a ledge, or am hooked or when I’m fighting the horde/monster/patrol and suddenly all 3 of them run across the entire map to beat a gas rat almost to death and let it explode in front of them, did you know that gas rats have priority over everything, including monsters? Bots will ignore everything when fighting a monster until it actually damages them, so when they are fighting a monster they cluster up and get hit by anything that approaches from the rear, if it is 1 stork vermin they may all be downed in 1 swing. They ignore all until damaged, UNLESS it is a gas rat, if one enters the map, they will abandon the monster and run it down, leaving you with the horde and monster. FFS.
Speaking of useless, have you tried killing the War Herd from the chest of trials with bots, on any mission? Like say the first one, when you have no boons, no weapon upgrades, no chance. I’ve tried this on the third mission with 4 bomb potions. Death. This is basically unkillable. At least the stormvermin you can kill or have a chance, 12 banners? No it’s death every time.
On the topic of chest of trials, when you approach one the game tends to stop spawning things, sometimes others not, either way there is a greater than 50% chance that when you activate the chest that on top of whatever the chest would attack you with you get a massive dump of specials and a brand new horde, so if you were fighting the shield wielding stormvermin it’s likely that you will get a horde of beastmen, oh and look, banners. Consistency, that’s what is needed here, I’ve tried waiting sometimes 4 or 5 minutes with nothing attacking, until I open the chest, then immediately swarmed with everything, I’ve tried mid horde, end of horde, beginning, nope, brand new dump, tried it with killing the specials first, nope here’s 6 new disablers.
Sometimes you get a monster from the chest, and the game mercilessly swamps you with everything, other times the monster will be the only enemy you see until you kill it, that can be over 10 minutes if it is just you 1v1 with a low DPS character. Where is the constancy?
Why can’t the bots get boons and upgrade weapons in the chaos wastes? This is horribly crippling. They should have the exact same anoint of coins as the host does. Or at least start with zero and gain from there.
If you complete a temple of shadows do the bots get the two boons as a reward? If so, why can they not get other upgrades and boons, if not then they get no reward for finishing the mission and the temple should be avoided, since YOU cannot get the mighty monster, cannot get weapon upgrades and cannot get any boons beside the two rewards for completion. This is heavily unbalanced.
There are holes everywhere in slaughter bay and Grimbolds stronghold, as zealot, battle wizard, handmaiden, slayer and footnight you will often find yourself in the underworld, with no escape, this is crushing if you are with a team of bots and say on the 3rd or 4th mission and are forced to die and restart the entire pilgrimage. Maybe if you can’t solve the wholes problem, perhaps a portal down there, or a spring pad or something that launches you back to your last position actually in the map. Death is not a reward for trying to use a career skill.
How about some way to heal the bots on the unquenchable thirst mission?
How about making the bots aware of exploding skulls, or the skulking sorcerer?
WHY DO THE BOTS NEVER EVER DODGE LEECHES? Never! Literally the only time I’ve ever seen a bot dodge a leech is when they dodge attacks from other enemies and they coincidentally dodge a leech.
If you get the leeches coven chest of trials with 3 bots and you are a warrior priest, that is likely a wipe. The bots will ignore all the leeches until someone gets grabbed, they are highly unlikely to shoot through the accompanying horde to save their allies and warrior priest is to weak to actually kill a leech (or blight stormer for that matter) in one series of attacks without blue weapons. This should be the easiest chest to clear but the bots make it a huge chore because they are completely deaf to leeches. If you only fix one thing, please fix this. I don’t need them to dodge all leech attacks, but if they do not dodge any, then it is a huge problem.
Host migration, what happened, it worked fine, since update it is totally messed up.
Seriously tho, if you are going to abandon the game for 6-12 months at a time, could you at least make sure you didn’t just break it with your last change? Ya know like when you had bomb rats in the weaves for ages, making it impossible to progress, or when touching the barrel in weave 64 crashed the game unless you had the maximum amount of enemies active before you picked it up and didn’t kill a single enemy till you deposited it.
Side note, Xbox gameplay is quite different to PC, we don’t want the changes that they want, the few people that you take insight from over there DO NOT represent the Xbox crowd, mouse and keyboard plays entirely differently. On PC shimmer strike might be useful since your movements are more square, but gaming to block, then turn 90 degrees while dodging to get a backstage is completely impractical on a controller.
Could you please stop hard nerfing classes, maybe make the other ones better to even things out, especially for bots, there really only 1 team you can set up for them and that’s unchained and mercenary, none of the kerillians function well (sister would if not for assassin hook bouncy house thing) bardin is either dead or is ironbreaker and doesn’t attack or revive you. Salty is ok at best, and bounty hunter gets glitched and dies.

Can you please fix the healing situation for the bots, if I’m zealot I do not want the bots healing me every time they find a medical pack. Their priorities for healing are lunacy. If I’m healthy but low and 2 bots are in the grey but the one who has the healing pack is not, they will heal me. If I’m in the grey, a bot is in the grey with a healing pack they will heal themselves instead of healing me to get us both out of the grey. If a bot is in the grey but I have low health it will try to give me the potion until it’s health is critical. If two bots are in the grey, one with a healing pack they will selfishly heal themselves instead of getting both out of the grey, if you are carrying a healing potion and approaching a medical pack (as bots cannot be trusted with them) the bots will often steal it right from in front of you and immediately heal the zealot. Can we make the battle orders for I need healing actually function as a forced move, like help should, or follow me, or stick together? Telling people you need stuff is fine, but it should apply to the bots in some meaningful manner.
Sorry to rant, but things are piling up and there is a pattern of long waits in between fixes to fix things that were fixed then re broken. And some issues that are still unaddressed since launch.

And shields are to big, if you can’t see the center of the screen it’s a bad design.

If you play righteous stand on twins vanguard and you walk up past the bell in the event and try to go back to the third tome, it crashes the game.

This is bad programming for the bots, and the trash at the end is a masterpiece. Why do we have to put up with bots getting stuck every second time you update the game?
You fix it, you break it, rinse and repeat. Test the update before you release it.
We want the game to function as intended, we don’t need 50,000 micro changes if you are just going to set the game back 6 months every time and then abandon it in a broken state.

This is one of many reasons people stop playing.
You need to fix some problems.
