Bretonnian Sword and Shield push attack (shield bash + stab) has almost non-existent reach which forces you to stay very close to the enemy when performing it, which has been reported by other people since the career release (with proof):

Combining with low damage of this attack, this makes it one of the worst (possibly, the worst) push attacks in the game. Which honestly shouldn’t be, because it looks more like a bug than design choice. Attack reach is like two times shorter than normal attacks for some reason, and the damage is even worse. It ruins an already not very good weapon with diffucult moveset, essentially depriving you of one of your attacks.
I know this isn’t the first thread about this bug, but it still persists… after 4 years. More to this, this bug has been fixed in the mods already.
I don’t believe it’s that hard to fix, not in four years. So I’d like to clarify once and for all, is this bug just being ignored? Or is it just one of those things that is not a priority right now? Or the previous bug reports just got lost somewhere in the long list of bugs? I really hope for at least some feedback on this issue
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Perform push attack on Kruber’s Bretonnian Sword & Shield in front of a practice dummy
Notice that attack range is much shorter than in apperas, in fact even shorter that normal attacks and mush shorter than regular sword and shield push attach. As if it had zero range
I know, but this particular bug is four years old. I think after four years, it’s time to finally put this problem, which was postponed for later, on the list of work to do. For four years now the Grail Knights have not had a push attack on their signature shield…
Part of the problem is that people both dev and players tends to have goldfish memory.
It’s also a case that this specific weapon isn’t terribly popular, leading to less use, leading to less awareness and the continued presence of the bug further discourages use.
I do wish FS have like a list of acknowledged problems that are being worked in progress.
Which reminds me that this weapon deserves not only a bug fix but also a rebalance to make it more useful and popular with players. Right now this weapon has high skill requirements but hardly rewards you as some other skill-demanding weapons do.
But this is a different topic, I would be happy if there was some feedback at least on the bug.
I use this weapon constantly and it’s a massive pain that this attack essentially doesn’t exist.
I wouldn’t know which Dev / Support-team member to ping but this needs to be fixed asap.
