Bots refusing to follow players or getting stuck

Issue Type (Required):

Bots

Issue Description (Required):

Bots are refusing to follow players/getting stuck in weird places on all maps. Usually they it’s when they’re trying to path to kill a special/elite (halfway across the map to melee it instead of shoot it because bots suck) and their pathing tries to make them walk through a wall or into an area where they’re not smart enough to get out. This makes it so they’re just constantly stuck getting downed or caught by specials and won’t follow the player until the player hits the distance threshold to where they teleport to the player. I’ve had bots die so many times because they just won’t run. They should prioritize being with the player at all times instead of running a marathon to kill a singular gas rat or stormvermin that’s not even a threat and get themselves into a situation that’s way worse than if they had just followed the player. They should be close to the player anyways! Why isn’t this programmed into the bots? They should always prioritize being with the player and babysitting the player. Not worrying about specials unless they’re near the, you guessed it, player. There’s no game if there’s no player and having a bot die (and potentially lose a tome or grim) because they ran off to an unreachable area to kill something that’s not even an issue is stupid. This has been a constant issue with bots lately (and i’m noticing bots that usually do well get downed and die more often now because of this). Before (like a few months ago/year) they would actually follow the player and help them get up if they got downed. Now? They prioritize anything else other than the player. Getting the player up? Nope they’ll chase after a gunrat, grabbing that tome the player told them to grab? Nope gotta stay in an unreachable area and get that assassin rat and get downed with a grim. Run with the player? Nope gotta run into the patrol and aggro them so the player has a harder time. Seriously these are all situations i’ve seen bots get themselves into and half the time they just die in the process of doing it unless I’m there to babysit them. They should absolutely NOT be running around as much as they are. Something changed in the past few months and it has wrecked them even more than they already were.
