Bots improvement suggestion

  1. Bots should be able to pick up items, like scriptures/healing packs.
  2. Be more capable when dealing with AOE attacks, they stand in fires all the time and die.
  3. Avoid falling from ledges better.
  4. Use other classes, not just veteran.
  5. Wear cosmetics.
  6. Better with medicae stations.
  7. Bots commands, pick that, drop healing/ammo box.
  8. What is the power level of bots? are they on par with the player? is it based on mission difficulty?
  9. Better revive logic, no more starting the revive then stopping over and over again.
  10. Take care of hounds and trappers nets faster.
  11. respond to snipers better.
  12. follow players better, in many cases they get stuck and miss a medicae station with four charges.
  13. help with objectives, or stay close to the player when they are doing it.
  14. Tag specialists every now and then.
  15. pick up/tag materials.

EDIT:
16. replace bots with our alt characters. (Mentioned by Exterium in the replies below)

More than likely they are not, they look and feel like they are a random lvl 3-5 player.

On the other points, it’s really sad, because most of those points are already there on VT2 bots, who are more than serviceable.

You can pick their class, their gear (as they are just your alt characters, so whatever you equip on them, the bot has it), you can tell them to grab stuff, they’ll give you potions if they have them…

And they are not bad at killing specials/elites if you give them ranged weapons that can deal with them.

The state of DT bots is a total regression compared to VT2.

Agreed, some of my points were straight from vermintide, the decision to make bots way worse is baffling to me.

You need to be careful about bots picking up items. In some other games, they can pickup items before you which is aggravating.

They don’t need to pick them by themselves, just have them pick the items if a player tags it.

I guess it could still be annoying if you are tagging it for a teammate and the bot grabs it, but it’s rather small compared to the bots not being able to use any item at all.

In vermintide, when you were aiming at an item, the command wheel will show every player’s portrait instead of the normal commands, if you command a bot to pick up an item this way, then they do it, otherwise they just picked up potions and grenades and only if all players already had potions and grenades.
