Bombs Away seems highly useful now

With the buff it got after testing it and realizing just how many targets can proc it, the damage from the nades and radius seems really worth it now, I WAS running bleed since Rumbler melee still procs the bleed but I think Bombs Away will take its place, what do other Ogryns think?

Yeah it feels pretty solid especially if your teammate runs the feat for a change to get grenades on elite kill.

Yep, this talent is actually really solid now that Ogryns get two grenades. It turns a crap grenade into a room-clearer that will nuke basically everything in the horde except for Ogryn enemies. It also procs on any type of armor, which is something most people haven’t figured out yet. And on top of that, it does a hefty chunk of damage to bosses, even on Heresy and Damnation.

I still wish it were baseline, though. Having to take a talent to make a baseline class ability feel useful is bleh. The other problem is that taking Bombs Away means you basically can’t take the bleed damage reduction talent (unless you have a Zealot and you know they’re going to keep hordes bleeding). Die Hard is a nifty talent, though, so that’s my top choice if I’m taking Bombs Away.

Exchange “if” with “but only when”

two grenades with some wave clear potential versus bleed on all heavy attacks is a no brainer. sry.
But the grenade IS much more fun to play with.

Sadly the bleed on heavies has yet to ever really get me any kills, sadly the bleed does nothing on the horde and weak stuff meaning you need to usually hit them a second time anyway, which is annoying.

Yeah that is true, highly annoying, usually save it for mutants since they are immune to anything else really and most of our weapons can’t deal with them well .
