Did one of the devs’ wife cheat on him with an Agrippina Mk1 or something!? They’ve done nerfed it into the ground! They’ve boosted the recoil, and worsened ammo capacity and efficiency with the blessing changes (sustained fire and punishing salvo). Also WHY DID THEY INCREASE THE DMG FALLOFF MALUS, WTF!? It’s nearly impossible to reliably kill anything at long range without executioner’s stance now. They might is well convert it into a braced autogun!
They only thing it needed changed was an increase in ammo reserve capacity, not be nerfed into irrelevancy. [The rest of the inf autoguns are still unusable]
I can’t figure out what the point of this nerf was if not to make the weapon redundant if you go the marksman route and if that’s the case, what an asinine way of excluding the weapon. even @ 80% stab the alt fire / ADS is borderline uncontrollable that it renders punishing salvo and sustained fire almost impossible to benefit from anywhere other than short-range.
it’s infuriating. the weapon was already general purpose, middle of the road, excelling at nothing, but it was a lot of fun to use. the only buff it got was a decrease in reload speed.
The more I use brauto on both my Vet and Zealot the more this comment confuses me TBH. The massive activation range nerf on fire frenzy and deathspitter was definitely hugely uncalled for but honestly brauto never needed either of those to be functional, and new stripped down is quite a joy.
@Overlord Just an FYI punishing salvo is actually weakspot damage, the wording on the blessing is just wrong currently.
And yeah I tried Agrip IAG after patch and TBH I always thought those guns had unreasonably high recoil but now it just feels borderline unusable without Exe stance active.
Before the recoil was manageable enough that it was a skill check, if you got good enough with it you could reliably plink stuff at mid to long range with it if you burst fired or used single shots. Not even that’s manageable anymore. Rn more often than not it’s more accurate to just hip fire the thing. Might as well just get rid of infantry autoguns at this point, AG1 was the only usable one in the family, but now it joins the graia and columnus IAGs in the crap pile.
Tested it out already, that plus stacking rending talents gives it decent dmg but its ammo economy plus its godawful recoil pattern keeps it at the NO tier, at least for me. There’s no way to reliably mitigate its ammo consumption, and the thing dances on ADS like you’re trying to fire a high caliber HMG one-handed. It’s basically a shitty offbrand reccy lasgun atm.
Yeah it feels like the gun is reverted back to launch level for some stupid reason or its simply bugged. Bit annoyed because it was my go to weapon before the patch but now its really hard to make any arguments for its use.
That makes the blessing changes even worse, wtf. So it’s still has it’s old proc condition, but was shifted to 3rd and 4th shots too, cause f^ck ammo efficiency.
Honestly all changes revolving around IAGs feel like a direct, and personal attack against me, the AG1 was my main weapon pre-patch. As if the Krieg skin debacle didn’t leave me butthurt enough at this update.
The overall veteran changes have made plasma gun even less fun to play, even though on paper the plasmagun wasn’t changed at all, which is entirely the problem.
This whole thread is about how Agrip IAG was not only not buffed for increased enemy health, but was actively given worse recoil for god knows what reason.
So I’m really struggling to see the relevance of your comment here TBH.
I’m saying the exact same thing happened with the plasma gun. It didn’t get changed at all to account for the buffed enemies nor the reduced synergy with the current veteran talent tree. It’s an indictment on Fatshark’s balancing process where they always forget that their systems are interconnected and that they always forget that any change they make affects other things.
Whether they did forget or just haven’t gotten around to it doesn’t really matter either (taking into account what they said about veteran balancing being ongoing), it’s horrible where they continuously gut people’s favourite weapons willy nilly, especially how annoying it is to build weapons in this game.
Ok fair enough, though I’d say there’s a pretty huge difference between failing to update something to the new balance and actively nerfing something that was mediocre to begin with.
Yeah this gun got gutted. When you got the pattern of 2 or 3 taps depending on distance your only enemy was suppression. Now its a chore to track a trapper from like 20 feet. Was one of my favorite Zealot picks before, since it had effectiveness on all specials + could control all gunhands but reapers shot-effectively.
