As of the latest hotfix, Bile Trolls deal full damage through a players block even if they are wielding a shield weapon. My encounter was a Crippling Grudge Marked Troll on Cinder Peak. On PC.
Aye! Thats why its safer to dodge Troll attacks.
That is really odd. In my games on my xbox series damage only comes through block without shield. With a shield its 100% block as long as you got stamina

This is for PC, I imagine it’s exclusive to Grudge Marked Trolls as oppose to regular ones.
