Big Balance Thread

For me the top priority with slayers level 10 talents are the dead boons in chaos wastes, so I would be fine with both suggestions discussed. Since it’s still Fatshark deciding on which changes are made it’s good to discuss it as feedback so that they can understand the problem and can pick whichever choice they prefer.

I mean sounds awesome but that’s a lot more work for people who’ve already done a lot of unpaid work. If they even consider this we ought to get a donation pool going IMO. I would donate to the cause in a heartbeat.

I would probably leave it up to them and Fatshark. I don’t know the legal side of things, so caution is paramount. Nobody wants to be sued by Games Workshop

I thought of one thing for Outcast Engineer.

On Modded, the Trollhammer has been nerfed, to make it more viable to play.

But with his big nerf, he needs an UP in OE talents.

Like the weapons from Drake to the IronBreaker. Drake weapons suck on OE because IB has a very good talent.

Make the bomber talent also trigger its effects on trollhammer shots? A small puddle of flame the size of the trollhammer’s explosion.

Of course, it has to have the modded nerf for it to not be OP.

But it could be a good talent point.

That’s certainly a unique suggestion!
I doubt it would be implemented, but will write it down just in case.
(A possible way to do it is to reuse flaming trail from Battle Wizard and spawn a patch of it on grenade inpact. But that’s a lot of coding and might not even work)

Then, I’m afraid that if there is a big nerf, this weapon will no longer be played.

But in any case, I like the idea that I had already talked about on other topics, the fact of procs a bomb like a GK which procs a potion (Except that here, it would be Bardin who kills with each times 75 enemies, he gains a random bomb.

Or, Bardin can collect scrap from certain enemies (elite with armor or special with armor) who after (imagine) 10 piles of scrap, he can create a bomb!

Alternative 1 would be quite versatile, since it would be good at hitting ranged breakpoints for special and elite killing, boost horde clear weapons like grudge raker and work in monster fights, when there is an ammo box nearby. I like that it can work with most of his ranged weapons making it a good pick for a chaos wastes boon. Since the throwing axes are outclassed by the javelins at the moment anyway, they could count as ammo to increase their viabillity.
Due to his survivalist ammo the talent could have a high uptime, so numbers would have to be tweaked to balance it.

Alternative 2 would be fitting to his supportive role with bomb and potion usage and would thus help in critical situations and monster fights. Since he has other talents focussed on consumables it would fit well to the character.

Alternative 3 could be interesting for sniping specials while in horde combat and for ranged horde clear weapons, especially for the grudge raker if its push could proc it.

Alternative 4 would increase his survivability in melee but wouldn’t influence his ranged capability. Since his class design focuses more on range combat and item support, I don’t think it fits into his talent tree that well.

I’m by no means an expert in ranger veteran playstyle so feel free to correct my assessment and discuss it further.

From what I know, the “using a consumable” trigger seems to only work on potions and not bombs. At leasth that’s what I felt when using similar boons in Chaos Wastes (+1 projectile/penetration on consumable use)

The possible issue with Alternative 3 is “does it get consimed on ranged shots?”
Because, if I recall correctly, Handmaiden alternative doesn’t, which allows her to get some dirty results.

The fourth one is the closest one to actually playing along with the name “Last Resort”, but yeah, I agree, it should probably belong where No Dawdling currently is (which might be a reasonable option).
Also… Doesn’t push strength affect Shield Bash? Ranger-tank anyone? xD
