Getting around to working on the Veteran - since my other 2 characters are male I figure I’d go female, especially since most veterans out there are male.
What’s a voice you like better? The professional or Loose Cannon? I’m not doing the Cadian one because I’m tired about hearing about how tHiS OnE’s fOr CaDiA every minute.
I have professional, and I hate it.

There is more, but they mostly grate my ears with all the codes. I’d say Loose Cannon
I’ve made one with the Professional voice. Mainly because pretty much every female veteran I’ve encountered is using the Loose Cannon one. I have a male Cutthroat so I didn’t want to do that again.
Loose cannon > all
I think the Cutthroat(/Cadia) one is the best, (sadly,)
I use it, don’t plan on changing it to any of the only 2 other voices there are… though i really wish that Cutthroat never mentioned Cadia at all…
but I think it’s better than the “BASTION 22 COMBAT STANCE READY”-stuff…
and I also cringe at the loose cannon “Astra Militarum style!”
really too bad they locked the cutthroat voice behind the Cadia-cringe theme…
Like… it would be alright if Veteran had many other voices to choose from, but they don’t.
So literally, if you don’t want to be specifically Cadia (and i think most players dont want to), then you ONLY have 2 voices/personalities to pick from… smh…
why force players to not be able to change voice when there is ONLY 2-3 voices to pick from anyways? not much rpg-element anyway when there is only 2 (or 3) personality-options.
just remove the cadia parts from the cutthroat voicelines, and I’ll be happy with the cutthroat voice, please…

It is the most sensible way to go! Why should i be forced to have Cadia background to have at least (and only) 3 voices to choose from… ??? it is soo dumb… please fix this fatshark, thanks…
now with the steel legion outfit, give us a steel legion version of the cutthroat!
Or just a cutthroat without a specific background-theme at all.
other classes have 3 voices to pick from, so should veteran, please!
lmao so I ended up trying all 3 - leveled all of them up a little bit to get a feel for it and the Cutthroat is the only one I didn’t find super annoying - outside of Cadia
But at this point my friends and I are just meming hard on it now so whenever she mentions Cadia we go nuts lmao so that’s kind of it’s own game now
I kinda feel all of them sound like Sera from Dragon Age Inquisition in different pitches… Perhaps the Cutthroat is the least terrible one.
Nevertheless, they are still leaps and bound better than the psyker ones. Those sound like comic relief characters straight from an 80’s movie (loonie 1, voodoo priest from Moneky Island, loonie 2)…
