I think a big reason for that is the Cadian vet is kind of an a-hole (I guess I would be a bit of one too) instead of a cool, calm and collected badass like many people envisioned.
They also get bullied in the dialog A Lot. It’s an interesting choice but god they got dogged on super hard.

I mean, I’d be permanently pissed too if my home world got blown up by an armless failure whose only real solution was just literally throwing something equally big at it. I lived there, my guy. It wasn’t a great place but now it just. Ain’t there.
That said, out of all the classes’ personalities, cadiavets are probably The most dry and one-dimensional out of all of them. Not mission relevant? Shut up. I’m a soldier. You’re a soldier too. Everybody’s a soldier.

Cadia Vet would be a great character if they were actually a character instead of a player avatar. In the same vein as Kerillian.
Trying to focus only on duty and being a soldier to forget “their” failure. Pushing people away because of guilt, regret and bitterness etc.
However they are not character, so none of that potential depth will ever be explored in any meaningful or interesting way.

Male cutthroat is my favorite and main operative. I dont get the hate. His voice of command lines are the best in the game

To be fair, every “personality” is as deep as a puddle. Someone had to be Mr. Pissy Pants, I guess.

It makes sense though, his home planet was destroyed and now he is forced into fighting for people who seemingly do not care about him or his new companions, on a planet he has never even heard all for a crime he likely didnt even commit. Of course he isnt going to be Mr. Cheerful

Yeah, but the human beings that are playing the game don’t care about any of that. They care that the character’s single dimension, “angry”, is grating to listen to. That’s why it gets the hate.
