I understand the urge to stick it to Fatshark to some degree and general interest in Helldivers…but why is this topic still going in the General Discussion section? Should this be in the Offtopic section or something?

As a comparison it serves some on topic purpose… but a lot of the comments veer off from an explicit comparison yes. It’s better to have it all in one spot vs multiple threads I guess.
And honestly I hate trying to ask things in discord in general but especially the HD2 discord, it’s like a constantly moving river of text. How can anyone talk there? So I prefer this

Because when HD2 came out literally every thread critiquing Fatshark kept making HD2 comparisons.
We’re still doing it but this thread contains most of the overflow.

I could do that, but it seems the offtopic section doesn’t get used nearly as much and I suspect people will continue to make a thread similar to this one to bring up comparisons to HD2 anyway. So I’m inclined to leave this where it is.

There is now a very distinct possibility we got the FS dev blog the same time as the HD 2 patch.
I am hoping for this because that would be the funniest option.
Maybe them releasing the blog on the 20th is funnier but that’s too depressing for me.

Arrowhead game devs did used to have HD1 forum. Strange they don’t have one for HD2, maybe they didn’t want to deal with bandwidth and mass moderation required.

Yeah, the Helldivers Discord is so bloated that it has three general chats and users are limited to one post per minute on all three of them. Even then… all those posts will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
