make it harder by removing their senses? even if this wasn’t a completely moronic thing to say, all this does is let your teammates kill everything with OP weapons instead
Not if i see people whining in game about overpowered weapons or complaining about balance, that “ruins my experience” the same way the op weapons “ruin your experience.” As long as you guys keep the complaining here sure ill be happy
It was harder just before the patch 13. Since then, they made, patch after patch, the game easier.
I don’t think they should add again more elites/special cause it is now ridiculous. But they still can balance weapons (I have said it by buffing weaker or nerfing OP ones) and they can also nerf too strong talents (and tweak useless or weaker ones)
Well there you go, i dont complain in game. I am not going to talk trash to someone in game just because they are using some OP cheese. I cant blame people for using busted builds, if it isnt something that is clearly unintentional, it is fair game.
That guy came in here in bad faith, though. We met him at his level. The guy didnt care to have an honest discussion. The irony of it was that he came into this discussion with a dismissive attitude saying we dont need nerfs but also lacked an understanding on basic weapon stats.
I already see it coming. Devs will listen to the hottest takes from elite players here and overnerf all the fun - Just as they did in VT2, with all it’s 148 or so builds (of which 140 are useless).
They are catering to casuals, and many of those players refuse to acknowledge that they have absolutely no business on Auric Damnation/Malestorm, but the classes carry them to a certain degree to to how blatantly OP everything is right now.
Problem is if they start nerfing stuff the whining will begin.
Also this game should not be a power fantasy. We are lowly rejects, not Space Marines, but at this point doubt this will change, maybe in the next game.
I’m not sure what your expectation is. A certain power treshhold is needed, if we are to face thousands of enemies per run and more.
If you want a more skill focussed experience on tougher battles, you’d also have to move away from more horde centric gameplay and get less, higher quality spawns into the game.
It’s certainly doable but I don’t think they’re going for that with the Tide games.
It would make for a great premise with Tzeentchian / Khornian / Slaneeshian factions, though.
True and real. Maybe there should be some kind of gear requirement?
Exactly. Fatshark did this to themselves, they were too liberal with the power granted to us. It would be hilarious if they buffed the enemy health instead of nerfing players, just so they could get around the “dont nerf us” debacle. Like a jedi mind trick lol.
I am so glad you said this. I thought i was the only one. I have said it on here before, but i think the game is losing a lot of its identity with these past few updates largely due to the balance. They specifically said they didnt pick space marines because they wanted to tell a 40k story through the perspective of regular humans. They marketed the game as playing as a regular person struggling to survive but when you actually play the game, you play as a group of people who accomplish inhuman feats such as screaming at plague ogryns to stagger them, running and sliding all over the place at the speed of light, and stabbing an ogryn in carapace armor to death in a few hits with a little knife. Suspension of disbelief can only carry you so far. I understand there needs to be a line between good gameplay and immersion, i just think that line is nowhere to be found at the moment.
