Hello. I apologize for the possible incorrect description, I am writing the first post on the forum.

Is it possible to increase the damage of Ogrin’s Shield and mace at the basic level in the future? Now it feels like only powerful punches are effective, the usual ones on high difficulties seem to be weaker, much. Is it possible to raise the base damage (maximum) to 150 damage in the future? This bv has increased the effectiveness of conventional attacks because now a huge mace hits weaker than a knife.

I think the shield is fine, you just ain’t doing it right. In my experiences, it is best used on a melee-focused Ogryn build, particularly ones with Batter (adds stacks of bleed on melee hit) and The Best Defence (replenish toughness on heavy melee hit on 2+ enemies).

Unfortunately, most of Ogryn’s melee weapons aren’t that useful when it comes to light attacks, as basically his entire tree is built around heavy melee. The push attack on the shield is surprisingly good, though, so don’t ignore that!

Oh, thanks for the advice.

It just seemed strange to me that most of the skills in the ogrin branch are for strong strikes, but there are very few of them for ordinary attacks. If I understand correctly, he doesn’t have a “torment” for the shield, so I’m having difficulties.

I find ogryn shield suprisingly strong. The first heavy has a really smooth block cancel and has really good single target damage while also having great crowd control too. The second heavy has insane crowd control, and the push attack has really good single target damage.

The picks make me wonder if some kind of ogryn melee overhaul is in the works. They get by just fine with or without heavy hitter and bleed, whereas every ogryn melee build will suffer without one or both of those.

And for a slow 2 hander, its attack speed is pretty comparable to a club. But with far greater damage/cleave targets.
