Just play the game with an engineer, it will crash. Haven’t completed one match out of four without a crash.
I don’t think it’s a matter of Engineer, as far as I know there are a couple of mods that crash the game : “Bots combat improvements” and “Info dump for streamers” .
Try disabling them if you have them on.
Exactly as Saryk said, quite a few mods got unsanctioned which is causing issues.
Best to disable them until they get fixed.
Okay, I got it to work but I think I got lucky with enemy density. There was a time in each game where the game would hitch exactly 3 times when there would be a higher than average amount of elites except for my very first crash when we were fighting a Minotaur and the map was fairly clear after dealing with a ton of berserkers. Maybe it could be a spawned elite enemy that is taking up stacking data until it gets killed.
In all my games, I was the host and the clients did not experience the hitches. My friend tried to host and had the same results but I did not play with him for those.
Edit: I don’t use mods, never have. My theory about my first crash correlating to looping data on an elite is that we did not move forward while dealing with the minotaur, leading to the crash if that enemy never agro’d. We fought bosses afterwards with no hitching or crashes, seems to only be when elites show in mass number, sometimes with a patrol before or after but I can’t say definitely.
I had the Targeting array challenge completed and the game crashed on me with no crash message

I got a nice crash in the keep! Didn’t even get into a game. Also, here’s a screenshot of the first crash I got.
