Issue Description:
The assassination target boss does not always adhere to melee range rules - he will, at random, pull out his ranged weapon when you are within melee range, and does not always switch to melee when you get within melee range. I think this is a major part of why assassination missions are failing so frequently at the moment, and has been the cause of at least two wipes I have experienced.
I’m not sure whether this is a deliberate choice or a bug. I’m hoping it’s a bug and reporting it as such, because if it is deliberate then it is an exceptionally bad mechanic. It is absolutely not fun to be kiting the boss and getting in a few melee hits when you can, to suddenly be faced with his shotgun and go down in two shots you cannot possibly hope to avoid.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Play an assassination mission and reach the boss
- Get within melee range and engage the boss in melee, kite and dodge around his attacks
- Observe that he may pull out his ranged weapon despite being within melee range
